I am about to start having cimzia injections and I am wondering if anyone is on this treatment and can tell me of their experience with it.

cimzia
The main reason for writing is that I have recently started
cimzia
,the drug you have to inject yourself, and am still taking leflunomide with it.

We now know what it is
The drug is
cimzia
so if any one knows anything about it comments would be welcome. I know they will be injections and i know how much they cost which is a lot of money,i just hope they work as i have forgotten what it is like to have a pain free day.

2nd Anti-tnf Assessment
Next the nurse has to present my case to 2 consultants who decide which therapy to go for (
Cimzia
, Humira or Enbrel) then it is passed to the head pharmacist before finally heading to the PCT for a yay or nay.

Becoming informed about Behcet's
In 2010, I spoke at the Behcet's Patient Conference in London about the dangers of fungal infections for patients taking biologics (anti-TNF a drugs like Enbrel, Remicade, Humira,
Cimzia
, etc.).

Active RA!!!
Up shot is my biological
CIMZIA
is not working as well & I'm still vit D deficient, so I have been flaring once again. I am recovering from last flare and have been signed of work force2 wks.
Cimzia
is taken every 2 wks, but it seems to only last between 5-7 says now.

Cimzia and Orencia
Me and my Dr. decided that I would start Orencia or
Cimzia
soon and I've been researching both. I was excited to try Orencia since I read somewhere that it might also help with Sjogren's syndrome.

Conflicting autoimmune diseases
I have gone through the usual treatments - MTX, Leflunomide,
Cimzia
, Enbrel and Rituximab, which I tolerated till my 3rd session at the end of December. I then had a bad reaction near the end of the 1st infusion and am unable to have it any more.

ice cubes............
Anyway, a fortnight ago I had my dose of
cimzia
along with my meth, and cried for ages as it hurt so much to get the needle in (sorry to those who hate needles) I thought I was just being ultra sensitive, so later that afternoon I called my Rheumy nurse and asked her if she had any ideas to help me.

Transporting Cimzia
I need to transport my
Cimzia
. However the only portable temp controlled boxes I can find are for diabetes and only carry 2 pens. The only other alternative is £150 for a cool box which is digitally controlled. I also asked my Rheumy nurse if there was anything for our injections.

1 year on...
So where does that leave us.....I'm currently waiting for funding (again) to start on Rituximab...back on a low dose methotrexate and steroids as the
Cimzia
doesn't appear to be working. I've had 4months off work and hoping to go back after Christmas.

CIMZIA
Hello All, Does any of you on
CIMZIA
. I've started it last July and first of all the injections are painful, they leave marcs in my belly and they are not working as they should.

FESTIVE UPDATE!!!
~Good news is that the gp recommended that I don't stop my meds (
cimzia
& mtx) & I have not flared so far, however I think the reason why I still have the infection is because it so slow to clear up, whilst I am still on the meds! Oh well I am hoping to fully be recovered sometime next wk.

COLD WEATHER - BLAH!!!
On Monday I had my first
cimzia
assessment. The nurse thought I could achieve better results if I change biologicals. I had a das score of 2.81. I was expecting a das score between 2 & 3, so no surprises there.

Time to get on :) (Post Cimzia injection fear)
HI all Well, when the nurse arrived last week to help me with the dastardly deed I was 'well nervous' and ready to chat around the houses to postpone the moment! But when it came down to it I found it fascinating to watch myself holding this syringe with half of my mind asking me what the hell I

Flu Jab & Infection update!!!
I had to stop
cimzia
and I managed to take the antibioctics either side of mtx - I was hoping to cheat a bit and not trigger a flare. Well I flared last thursday, multiple joints, had restricted mobility and had to have an 120mg depo injection last friday.

Cimzia side effects
Anyway, I've been on
Cimzia
for four months now and the RA does feel better which is the good news. The not so good news is that I've had some other health problems the last two months that could be side effects from the
Cimzia
. Last month, I developed nose bleeds and actually coughed up blood.

Cimzia arrived today!
Was very excited - but when I opened the first box I started to feel sick with nerves! I have had to come off of Enbrel as it has stopped working for me (was wonderful for 2.5 years), Enbrel is easy as the injector pen does it all for you. Seeing actual injections is freaking me out, still waiting
