Costochrondritis for over a year!
Hello my name is Kenny and I am 39 years. My story started around February to March of last year 2016. I started spitting out speck of blood. I immediately quit cigarettes because I was so worried. I then received a chest x Ray and it was normal except doctor said I have mild apical pleural thickening

I have been going downhill for approx 2 years. I am a 53 yr old female who was privately diagnosed with and getting treated for ADHD 1 year ago - the NHS won't accept this. I recently saw Consultant in A & E after numerous trips to Dr - chest X-Ray not great COPD and all blood tests back normal so

What a laugh! Any one else been badly treated?
So after some 20 years of jumping through the NHS hoops to get a diagnosis and being badly let down, then going private to find that I did have limes disease and anaemia that the doctors didn't pick up from my tests. CD 57 range is 130 to 300 my results were -11! That's another story!! Last September

Well I'm up at Kings, currently laying in my bed at the lodge guest house they provide which is lovely, having my assessment for transplant. Two day assessment, today has been meeting the coordinator jnr doctor and consultant. I've had about 20 bottles of blood taken, urine samples, ECG, Echocardiogram

I am miffed!!
I have yet another chest infection - this time it merited the paramedics who were brilliant. It seems now this will get worse unless I am on my rescues permanently. I have been bringing loads of blood stained sputum. The GP has been informed and I am for another chest X-ray. What bothers me is

Pain and inflammation around breast bone? And... emergency hydrocortisone injections from GP!
Happy weekend! Does anyone suffer with pain and inflammation from under their breast bone? It feels like a heavy weight is sat on my chest and I ve been thumped or kicked hard there as well as burning hot to touch. No swelling. Breathing can be difficult when this area is very inflamed. Comes and goes

How long to get letter from rheumy after appointments?
Hello, I am quite new here (2nd post!). I had my 2nd rheumatologist appointment 3 weeks ago but still haven't had any paperwork through in the post. Is this normal? He tentatively diagnosed me with sero negative RA but said there were some pointers to PsA so said he would schedule a bone scan to look

A long death ?
Where to start..I was diagnosed as hypo 15yrs ago after the birth of my 2nd daughter after being borderline for years. I've never felt well on Levo but I have a gp who only looks at tsh. It increased over the years from 25mcg to 125 and I still feel like pants. Over the years I've had my gallbladder

Waiting for diagnosis
Hi there I'm new here so this is probably going to be very long winded. A month ago I started coughing then it gradually got worse and I was waking up at night coughing (about 8 times) and was struggling to breathe and retching, I had a really bad pain in my ribs just under my breasts. I ended up at

Suspected Lung infection
Evening everyone! After a good session reading and saying hello to you this morning, I had a reasonable day setting myself small targets, then going for a walk with a friend and having a type of afternoon brunch out (even though I did have breakfast this morning). I had been feeling a lot better. This

A quick hello.
Hello, I signed up today because my partner is going for a breathing test on Friday. He has been unwell since Christmas and we thought it was the coughing virus that was going around but he didn't get much better. He's had two courses of antibiotics and three five day courses of steroids. His chest

Never thought I could get anxiety
So, I just found this site doing some homework on why my heart seems to race and flutter constantly. I've been dealing with anxiety over the course of probably 3 months now. I was the kind of guy that always thought I would never deal with anxiety, depression, etc. Been healthy all my life and lucky.

Had non stop problems since November, bronchitus, astma, humid work conditions
Hey, I've always had asthma but it now feels out of control. In November, I became ill. It started with a temperature and I developed a chesty cough. I thought it would go and saw a doctor after two weeks. I also lost my voice. He told me I had laryngitis, he prescribed amoxicillin and a medical mouthwash

Hello all, so after nearly 3 months of tests and scans my mum has been diagnosed with NSCLC (Adenocarcinoma) in her right lung and she is due to have a second biopsy on her left lung this week as the consultant suspects that she has another very small primary lung cancer in her left lung (this showed
