“Fitness for Surgery” OR Pre-Op
Various soothsayers have been telling me that if your surgery does not occur within a couple of months of your “Fitness for Surgery” you have to go through it all again. Different tests stay in date for different periods. Typically, an angiogram in valid for 12 months, an echocardiogram for six months

Hello from someone new to all this PMRGCA stuff
Hello. I have ust been diagnosed with GCA three days ago on 21 Feb 2018. I'm 58 and male. Usually in good health. My apologies if this is a bit long and nerdy: I'm just finding it useful to write all down somewhere. My symptoms started on Christmas Day with very sensitive scalp and shooting pains

Vasovagal syncope and intermittent av block?
A little history: I've had vasovagal syncope since childhood. The first episode at 11 years old and the last during a pregnancy 7 years ago (at 25. I'm 32 now). They were quite frequent and all have been after vomiting - most during "that time of the month". I've not had any fainting since 25yo (until

After lobectomy
Hi all, I’m new here.. I had a vats upper left lobectomy for nsclc stage 1A nodule 12 weeks ago. Clean lymph nodes. I have a strong family history of lung cancer so I was in an annual screening program. It was found with my 2nd annual scan. I was asymptomatic. 57 year old female. Otherwise, pretty healthy

Lightheadedness, heart palpitations and brain fog.
Hello, I am 32 years old, was recently diagnosed with hypertension. I am taking a calcium channel blocker for it and have been around 130/85 on 5mg of Amlodipine. Down from 160/95 before getting on the medication. Recently I have been experiencing brain fog, occasional fatigue, and occasional heart palpitations

Yes! all counts in normal range but...
Went for my check at the hospital on Tuesday and was so happy to find all my counts within 'normal' range. I had 2 colds in a row and am left with a dry tickly cough that makes me retch and have a couple of spells a day coughing. I have experienced a few spells of breathlessness, the latest being 2/3rds

Recently diagnosed with PBC and AHI
First, I want to apologize for this being so long. I am new to the site. I am 52 and live in Denver, CO. For the last 8 weeks, I have been having dizzy spells. 2 weeks ago, on Thursday January 26th I blacked out and fell. Which caused me to have pain on my right side. I went to my Doctors for a chest

How 'normal' is a persistent cough?
I have asthma, COPD and Bronchiectasis so I thought my ongoing cough was just par for the course. However, my GP has sent me for a chest x-ray as I've had the cough since November. Actually, I've had it for three years but November was when I had my last lot of antibiotics. I thought I was doing quite
