Impressionable subtle thickening plural cap in lung

Hi I’m really scared I’ve had a chest X-ray done on Friday and my doctor has rang me today to tell me they have reported back with that I have a impressionable subtle thickening plural cap in lung has anyone else had this is it cancer? I’m 29 years old I’ve smoked heavy and smoked since I was 12 can anyone help me with more information on this I have to see a specialist in the next 2 weeks thank you

There are lots of different causes - most common is asbestos dust. I would suggest that maybe this is due to something in the smoking, so if you have not then please try and give up.

Thank you for replying I’m just very worried about it turning or already being cancerous I guess I’ll have to wait and see.
