I read somewhere that a chromium supplement can help? Anyone else tried ? I’ve been taking pred since January, currently on 6.25mg

My weight stayed the same, very difficult to lose it even though I live a reasonably healthy lifestyle, always active with helping out with grandchildren and having lots of vegetables and supplements, some prescribed by my thyroid specialist, such as Cinnamon and Chromium Complex, others like vitamin

The area I grew up in is close to an old chemical plant, and the company were known to have dumped waste (including Chromium-6 amongst other things) onto patches of nearby ground. Incredibly, some of these waste sites were turned into football pitches with no clean up operation.

I have started taking chromium supplements as they are supposed to help with hunger but so far so difference! I feel starving all the time and just keep gaining weight. I do also take sertraline so not sure if this is the problem. Sorry for long post.

theres some online literature warning for the chromium dangers in people that suffers of any form of kidney disease. my question is, if i take a multivitamin that contains 35mcg of chromium might pose myself in danger? any reply about this will be much appreciated regards

I was intending to do my advanced thyroid profile test tomorrow morning ( fingerpick) I have avoided Vitamin B complex, D, and my Bone restore (calcium) as advised and then last night I suddenly thought should I have also stopped the GTF Chromium 200ug that i take in the evening?

In spite of introducing Chromium, Black Seed Oil & Ovasitol I have yet to see much of a drop in it. Steroids are known for increasing blood glucose - it is a large part of the role of cortisol - but I would obviously need to avoid it going too high.
