Tocilizumab trial
I am on week 19 of the trial with the drug above together with hydroxy
chloroquine
. There has been improvement but still very stiff and painful to move. Still off work. Also struggling with isolation since I've always been very active and now just stay home alone all the time.

Unstable INR
I have been on warfarin and hydroxy
chloroquine
for a connective tissue disorder since then. However, my INR is not stable, it gets up to 2.2 for a week or two then drops to 1.7. My dose has steadily risen to 7/6mg alt days. Is this normal?

To take supplements or not to take them....
., hydroxy

Depomedrol / depromedrone injection
I had also been taking hydroxy, thalidomide, and
chloroquine
sulphate for my horrific skin. I've just read a bit on the internet about what depomedrol actually is.....prednisolone. I've only got one eye left, so I'm a bit alarmed now.

has anybody been on chloroquine in past years, if so how long did you take it for and are there any side effects.
I was prescribed it for 20+ yrs yet have not come across anyone else that has ever had it, it's not the same as hydroxychloroquine. am keen to hear from anyone that took it in past years and in particular how their health is now after having taken it. I have sle, diagnosed early 20s, am now 52.

Officially diagnosed 3 days ago. Feeling pretty numb.
I saw a very nice rheumatologist on Tuesday who confirmed the diagnosis and after a baseline eye test I can start the
chloroquine
. Even though I knew what the problem was, the official news has hit me like a tonne of bricks. I am on the brink of tears continuously.

Has anyone experienced hair loss(patches on the scalp) while taking chloroquine???
I have been taking a low dose of
chloroquine
for about a year now. Everything seemed to be going well. But, I have now started to notice patches in my scalp and hair loss. The patches are shiny in most areas but some have signs of slow hair growth. Has anyone else had these symptoms ??

New and confused!!
I have been put on steroids and hydro
chloroquine
which I started a month ago. My specialist said I would feel so much better, but I haven't. In fact the joint pain is even worse. Is that normal? My doctor is only in surgery twice a week and so I'm finding it difficult to catch up with her.

My Living Rheum :)
I was prescribed high dose Prednisolone and
Chloroquine
(successful treatments were few and far between in those days and steroids were the accepted way forward). Childbirth was the catalyst; it set the wheels in motion for the years that followed.

Today I am absolutely positive!
I was given the ‘usual’ available treatments of the day,
chloroquine
, high dose steroids and anti inflammatories; all in place to bring the symptoms under control. It took the edge off an illness that left me not just housebound but very incapacitated, unable to walk barely able to move.
