how to manage premenstrual symptoms in lupus nephritis

i'm on treatment with prednisolone,chloroquine and immunosuppressents for 8 months, but now i'm suffering out of terrible premenstrual symptoms,joint pains and wierd mood swings.sometimes i cant even sleep and i cant control stress.help!!

Hello nica. I really sympathise with you. I'm not a Doctor but your symptoms sound like you might be experiencing side effects from the Prednisolone. Perhaps it would be worth mentioning your symptoms to your GP? Hope you get it sorted out. xxx

Yes, INSpain sounds right, could be related to steroids. Also Premenstrual magnification, this is when your pre-existing symptoms appear to get worse premenstrually, it is due to the relationship with lupus and hormones.

Definitely mention to your GP or consultant.

My GP prescribed evening primrose oil capsules for many years which seemed to help.

It could also be a part of your lupus so definitely talk to the dr.

tnks.. Inspain and herb.i'd changed from prednisolone to defcort and was feeling better.but,again i'm on for flares now..so defcort is not that ffective..
