Struggle to get help for Fibro
I was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica just over two years ago and am still taking steroids. In November 2021 I tripped and fell and fractured my humerus in 3 places and when I started Physio for this a few months later I noticed I was getting pain in my back. This pain grew worse over the next

Shockwave Therapy By Chiropractor
I just went to a Chiropractor for treatment of agonizing pain in my upper back. He wants to treat me with shockwave therapy but I have concerns of this affecting my atrial fibrillation. I am presently only taking an anticoagulant, and no other meds for my AF. Has anyone had this type of treatment

Migraines stopped after 42 years of pain!
I had my first migraine in my mid-twenties,. By the time I was forty, I had chronic migraines, about 3 a week. I can't remember all the different types of medications and treatments that I've had during this time, with the triptans working fairly well. Now, I haven't had a migraine in months. In May

Chiropractors
You good people on here are so informed so I'm picking your brains please. Does anyone with RA and Ankylosing spondylitis advise seeing an chiropractor? Ive been recommended one by a friend who swears by it but doesn't have RA or AS but I'm nervous as I've read conflicting things if you have AS,

“You shouldn’t be running at your age”

Q10 Supplement
My chiropractor suggested I might benefit from taking a supplement called Q10 gold. The research I did was quite interesting done by Pharma Nord, seems their studies with people with heart problems eg heart failure also CABG mortality rate reduced considerably, also enhanced energy levels etc. My Chiropractor

Dr Berg: "The REAL Cause of Alzheimer's Is NOT Amyloid Plaque in the Brain"
His background is
chiropractic
but his videos very rarely talk about anything that is 'chiro' He always has very interesting (and unde 10 minutes!) health video. I know that ALZ is 'not' PD... But they are very much related in as much they are both in the BRAIN.

Avioding Coming a cropper when we are trying to regain a level of fitness
I wondered if anyone else has experience of getting back to some degree of fitness once the dose of thyroid hormones was adequate - whatever the form that took (T4 only, T3 only, Combo T4/T3 or NDT). thought it might be good to share this, in the hope of others avoiding the mistakes I made. Mine is

Extra Pred?
I have had really bad neck pain since before Christmas, and a routine trip to chiropractor has, if anything, made it worse. Looking back over my diary since I started pred in 2021, my neck has played up on and off since I got below 10mg. Despite this I had tapered to 3.5mgs in December but went back

sciatica and constipation
Lately I have noticed that when I am constipated, my sciatica acts up to where I cannot walk. I have been going to the chiropractor, doing traction, dry needling, reflexology, and massage. I have also been taking the magnesium, (MSM). but when the constipation gets bad, I cannot walk. The MSM keeps

ANA antibody test positive... Lupus or Systemic scleroderma
Hello everyone! I am based in the US but it's nice to be able to connect with people from all over who have this condition. For the past 3 years, my husband has been spilling protein in his urine. (He noticed it and mentioned it to his doctor at his annual physical and his doctor ordered a routine urinalysis
