Starting clinical trial of AVR-766
Today I start a clinical trial for ARV-766, an AR degrader. I'm coming in at phase 2, and they are only accepting men who have one of 4 point mutations in the AR - I have two. I've been randomized to 300 mg pill, once a day. The other dose is 100mg. I've failed ADT, chemo. Keytruda & Pluvicto. Hoping

After Zytiga-Xtandi Fail!
Following up on a post by "Chris52981", after Zytiga and Xtandi fail, if chemo is the next treatment, how much time do we really buy? Is it Month's? Weeks? or Years?

Recent HF diagnosis
Hi, I was diagnosed with heart failure a couple of months ago when I woke up one morning struggling for breath with fluid in my lungs, having had virtually no previous symptoms. Looking back, maybe I was a bit short of breath over the last few months but did a sprint-distance triathlon 6 months ago so

PSA after chemo # 4
Hi My husbands last chemo was # 3 and PSA was 0.14, he just got the results from Chemo # 4 and it was at 0.12. This is the slowest decline if you look in the profile Iisted all his PSA results. Should we be worried that this last one barely moved ? Or is this slower decline good news? Thanks for any

Painful Sex
Hi Ladies If you had painful sex problems would you mind reading this and sharing if you experienced anything similar and if so what action was taken? My fear is that maybe the sex pain is an indication of a more worrying problem eg bowel adhesions or even recurrence. Thanks. On Friday my boyfriend

chemo
has anyone who failed xtandi and zytiga have good outcome with chemo- does it completely eliminate the cancer or do you still have to take things after - how does it work when it stops - also can you take it in smaller doses?

Rechallenge Docetaxel - more than 6?
My husband has just finished his rechallenge of Docetaxel on 2/29x He did 6 rounds and while things are shrinking it didn’t have the significant change I think they wanted. So his MO at Mayo now wants him to do more chemo until he can no longer tolerate. It’s the standard 75g and my wrestle is why

CLL survival times ARE improving, thanks to BTK and BCL-2 inhibitors
Many of us were shocked after our CLL/SLL diagnosis when we googled for survival times. Hopefully we subsequently read that search engine information from Google, Bing, etc., is way out of date, due to the fact that with CLL being a chronic disease, the relatively long survival times with this

Bone pain, what next?
For over 2 years my scans show no radiographic progression despite a rising PSA, now at 43. However I am now experiencing periodic bone pain in the left hip area, mainly when I climb stairs. Tolerable but a worrying development. Even with lack of visible progression I think we need to change something

Second Line Hormonal
I am still only receiving Zoladex injections every three months. I did try Abiraterone 2022/2023 and it failed after a few months. I have been trying to get my Oncologist to prescribe Enzalutamide. I have been treated with docetaxel again and thought it might re-sensitize me for another hormonal drug

Spot Radiation before Pluvicto?
Haven’t posted for a while about Mr. Spouse21 until I had some data as his PSA began to tick up a few months ago. Last week a PET FDG confirmed recent bone and CT scans. Summary of main results:
Multiple tracer avid osseous metastases. Most prominent involving right margin of T12.

Feeling like Chemo is too Hard
Hi. I was diagnosed 3B HG in August 2018, had surgery, frontline, first recurrence ( carbo and caelyx/doxil), 3 years of Olaparib, one year on nothing and now am having carboplatin alone for second recurrence. My oncologist said this would be relatively easy. Also I haven’t had some of the worst complications

I've Dodged the Big Bullet, Again!
One of my good friends came in to my hospital. room and said that I used another one of my many (nine) lives. I'm not in the hospital, now. I am in my very comfortable home on a lake, hopefully getting better from the recent really scary diagnosis of acute liver failure. Even I was worried. The cancerous

Experience Taking Xeloda
I was diagnosed in 2019 with breast cancer, in 2020 with uterine, and this February with colon. I am NED with breast and uterine, and am now being treated for the colon cancer. I had a successful bowel resection, and am now about to start chemo. I would like to know how you tolerated Xeloda. Any tips

Chemo Update March 27, 2024
I was treated with 6 rounds of docetaxel in 2017/2018 when I was HSPC and I responded exceptionally well. I have been CRPC since 2022 and have tried abiraterone and Radium 223 (Xofigo). I just completed 7 rounds of docetaxel again and PSA went from 105 to 3.1 after 4 rounds then started doubling. Now
