Risk Management (Taleb-style) meets Adaptive Theory (Moffitt-style)

Abiraterone plus dexa, Lupron, Erleada
Question: Will adding Erleada , already taking these 2 drugs (not counting dexa) Abiraterone plus dexa and Quartely lupron injections increase overall survival? triplet, Right now treatment is Abi & Lupron. I'm high volume metastatic. Slowly rising PSA as of July 1.2. When PSA over 2 or fast doubling

Husband about to commence chemo/radio.
Hello Everyone, My husband has been diagnosed with GBM grade 4. It’s unmethylated and I know the standard treatment may not be as favorable as hoped . He remains remarkably strong and healthy with a good positive mindset. He goes to the gym and works out without increasing his intracranial pressure

bone pain with chemo
hi everyone! My dad just completed his second chemo treatment with docetaxel. He is now having bone pain in his right femur. We will have another PSMA scan after the third dose. Going into chemo most of his metastases had shrunk on ADT. While I know new pain could be a sign of worsening metastasis

At what PSA will a PSMA PET scan be useful?
Hi everyone My father has been on Lupron for 3 years now. We stopped Abi last year due to rising blood sugar levels. His PSA used to hover between 0.6-0.8 (with an occasional spike to 1.2). PSA in May 24 was 0.6. Today, however, his PSA came back as 2.5. Plan is to restart Abi and monitor. But I wanted

I am a stage 4 PC patient diagnosed in August 2021 and have been on ADT double therapy ever since.I get Lupron shots every 3 months and take 2 tablets of Apalutamide (Erleada ) evey day. I have been lucky that I responded well to the treatment and have been undetectable ever since. I

Good news on recurrence
Hi Ladies I’ve had good news from my July scan report. All new growth from recurrence is NED, good partial remission 😊 I had 6 cycles of Caelyx/Carbo after recurrence when 7 months of PARP Olaparib should have but hadn’t work, instead had new growth. I also started Avastin privately with Lloyds

Why Cabazitaxel instead of 2nd Docetaxel?
For people that Docetaxel worked, why do they typically switch you to Cabazitaxel for the 2nd time of chemo instead of repeating the Docetaxel? Thanks.

Tagrisso + Carboplatin and pemetrexed
Hi all, I'm pretty new to this. Had a thoracotomy in July to remove a 1.6cm(ish) tumour from my upper left lobe. Upon investigation my surgeon found unexpected lesions on the lower left lobe (that did not show up on the PET scan) and it seems that there are 'snowflakes' in my right lung too. Anyhow

Pluvicto fail - what's next
My husband finished 3 rounds of Pluvicto and each time his PSA has risen. He just had a PSMA scan yesterday which showed an increase in the bone mets. We talked with his oncologist last week and asked what his next step could be if it's decided to stop this treatment. She mentioned another chemo treatment

Hello
I’m Sonya from NZ and I was diagnosed with Stage 3B Endometrioid Ovarian Cancer in Jan this year. I’m in my 40s. I’ve had full debulking surgery and have just finished my 6th (and final scheduled) round of carbo/taxol chemo. I’m BRCA negative. I’m keen to find out if any women here with the same subtype

What clinic trials have been successful?
My husband's next oncologist appointment is tomorrow. PSA is at 74. It has been a roller coaster ride since March 2017. Prostate removed with many complications in hospital. Was there for 2 weeks, which should have been 2 days. Was weak for several months after. Follow up appointment 3 months later

Ascites
I was wondering how many chemo sessions it took to clear up people’s ascites? I’ve had 3 rounds so far and it is still there. I don’t need it drained cos it is leaking out (don’t ask).
