Is there any reason you are not using hormone therapy to suppress Testosterone?

Every one us different sp take that intimate consideration.I am 84 years old and my MO scheduled me for docetaxel treatment. Usually the treatment is an infusion every 3 weeks until you have has 6 treatments. Because my MO scheduled a 1/3 infusion once a week for 3 weeks followed by a week off. This repeated 6 times so you wind up with the standard dose, just tales a little longer. I started in March, with the usual side effects, but I got weaker after each treatment. At the end of May I could hardly walk and my wife took me to the hospital. They admitted me saying I had pneumonia although the only symptoms I had was total body weakness. I lost all feeling in my body. Not so bad on upper body, but total lack of feeling in lower. I was discharged in about 2 weeks but needed to be taken by ambulance to my home since I am bedridden. Was home, then in rehab facility for 3 weeks but no improvement. I am back home, unable to stand or walk so wheelchair is not an option. Most, I have talked to say it was the chemo, including my MO. He also said there is no treatment left for me and I should I have homemade then hospice.

Sad story, but as far as I can tell I am one of only a very, very few to have this. Everyone else I know never had real serious side effects, and each had different success from the treatment.

Best of luck to you.

Joe
