Something positive :)
I wrote a really upset and long post last week after my consultant appointment basically saying how sick, traumatised and violated the sheer amount of excruciatingly painful, humiliating and failed-attempt swabs/internal examinations I have had to have over the last few years and how I just couldn't

Completely traumatised.
I put a big post up yesterday about my experience with endo/treatment I've received. But just needed to vent a little more. I have no idea how I am ever going to get out of this and I haven't stopped crying since my hospital appointment yesterday. It's not even the endo, or the treatment, or anything

Consultant wants me to repeatedly go on/off prostap?
Hi, I'm new here but was diagnosed with endometriosis two years ago, when I was 22, after suffering for about 8 years. There's a tonne of stuff I just want to get off my chest because I feel like none of my friends/family/fiance truly understand some of the things, and I need to know that other people

Cervical screening test (smear test)? Do you?
I had my first smear when I was 22 and my gynaecologist (in Brazil) said I had to do it every year! But, here in the UK I noticed the recommendation is according to age group..."25 and 49 are invited for testing every three years, and women aged between 50 and 64 are invited every five years." NHS choices

Waited five months for plevic ultrasound after being refferred by doctor in January. Had to have vaginal scan as have a tilted womb .
Had the ultrasound in may technician said I had fibroids but not big enough to cause heavy bleeding a week later went to docs for results and he said I had an ovarian mass on right and fibroids and one was attached to ovary on the left because of position on uterus the technician couldn't rule out it

Is period disruption normal after the morning after pill?
I recently had to take the morning after pill twice in one cycle due to two unfortunate accidents within a week of each other. Afterwards my period came on time and lasted for the normal length - however, after a few days I got what seems like another period (slightly lighter than usual) that has lasted

Breast biopsy continued
Hello all, ablation done 2 weeks ago, not a sign of a palpitation or a flutter so fingers crossed, slight pain when deep breathing also seems to have gone, highly recommend it and also recommend Castle Hill hospital in Hull. Wide excisional biopsy done earlier this week and I have to say it was definitely

Help for heavy periods with migraines.
I have been feeling really good recently since starting B12 and ferretin supplements apart from when my period starts. I bleed heavily for a week and have the most awful right sided migraine which completly wipes me out. Can anyone suggest something which could ease the symptoms. Doc has prescribed me

Extended period/perimenopause question
Hi, Sorry if I haven't picked the correct board or forum to pose this question to. I 'think' I'm going through the start of or am already in the menopause. My periods for the last 2-3 years have been odd in as much as they will be regular but stop completely for a day or two around day 5 then recommence

Not diagnosed yet.....but my symptoms....
I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst around 4 years ago and never caused me any problems. Around 3 mons ago out of the blue I started with horrendous pelvic pain, pain at the top of my legs, unable to hardly walk. My hormones has been horrendous, and not just before my period, I would say around ovulation

Cervix sore at the opening when touch. Really worried. Endo symptom or something else?
Hi, my cervix hurts when I gently touch it with my finger - I've just started checking my cervix position to note changes through the month and I'm due my period any time now or tomorrow so it's lower so today is the first time I've been able to reach it. I was very careful not to prod but when I touched

Bleeding during sex
Bleeding during sex, Does anyone else have this problem? Constant lower back pain and sharp pelvic pain? Smear came back normal thank goodness. I'm awaiting an appointment for a laparoscopy but just need to know if this can be a symptom of endo. I don't have any STIs I've had a full MOT x

Managing pain until laporoscopy?
Hello, I don't know for sure if I have endometreosis, but this is what the doctor suspects. I have been trying to get to the bottom of sharp pains in pelvis, bleeding and pain during and after intercourse, since about October. NHS gave me the same swabs almost four times and a rejected smear test from

6 weeks post op, pain back!
Hey lovely ladies, Well I'm 6 weeks post op. Left ovary and pelvic wall separated and adhesions removed from same area, also dye test, hysteroscopy and smear. The pain is coming back with a vegance and I look 6 months pregnant. I stopped my zoladex 8 weeks ago so I'm guessing it could ovary waking

Hi my fibro friends I hope you are all well ;) my question is.......what's the longest time anybody's waited for smear results? Helppp
Its been 7 weeks since I had all my tests done, they all come back ok EXCEPT for my smear results which were done first,my daughter went for hers a week after me and within two weeks she got her results back all ok thankfully but I'm fed up now because everytime I ring the doctors they tell me they haven't

Advice please: what do I do next?
I've been on the TUK boards for a while but am new here. I'm hypothyroid on t3 and t4. I responded very well to t3 for about six months but now I'm back to how I felt on t4 alone. My thyroid test results look good but I feel like a wet noodle and I realised that I have some other PA symptoms (numb

What do I need to do next re: possible pernicious anaemia?
Hiya. Got these blood tests yesterday and it seems like I'm anaemic (as I often have been before) but I'm concerned that there's more to it than just needing a bit of iron. As soon as I stop supplementing anything really my levels drop like a stone. I'm exhausted, apathetic, tinnitus has got worse, etc
