The optimal healthy ranges of thyroid function defined by the risk of cardiovascular disease and mortality: systematic review+meta-analysis

statins
I have been on Rosuvastatin 5mg now for 16 months, originally started Atorvastatin, which caused too many side effects. In the last few months i had a few nosebleeds, pain in the back of legs, and generally feeling crap, also blood sugar went up again! The first year or so on it was not too bad, but

Cryotherapy
Has anyone tried cryotherapy for PMR? I’d be interested to know as it’s supposed to be reduce inflammation (as well as other benefits) . I am embedded in the football world and the physio of a club suggested it to me saying he thought it might help. Any thoughts?

palpitations
Hello! I have been experiencing palpitations daily (often 24/7) for over two years now. Got multiple electrocardiograms done, a holter test of three days, and tested for thyroid problems. Apparently, it's all anxiety they say. But this is a constant problem. It doesn't go away like....ever. antidepressants

Update: Consultation with cardiologist pushed back till October. In the interim, I called my GP to discuss side effects of Bisoprolol and, the fact they are not reducing my BP. I have been told to reduce the Bisoprolol dose to 1.25mg per day and take it at night.-see how we get on for a week. If

Gone back into AF
So this morning, one day short of 3 weeks after a successful cardioversion, I’ve woken up in AF. Heart rate 105 and rhythm is utterly all over the place. Don’t know whether it was the heat, the fact I’d had a fever for 3 days just before, or whether just being a bit more active the past couple of

I was recently diagnosed with afib and am taking Eliquis and propofenone. I am scheduled for a hip replacement in two weeks and am wondering if having afib makes the surgery more dangerous. Thanks for any advice or info.

Last night was 8th consecutive night without ropinerole… (also asking a question in my post)
For example, last night I took 275 mg. of pregabalin, 600 mg. of gabapentin my brother gave me, a
cbd
gummy that has 10 mg. of thc (but it is not nearly as strong as a marijuana gummy, I’m told), and all of that relaxed me and made me sleepy but didn’t touch the RLS.

Bisoprolol and low heart rate
As my heart palpitations were becoming unbearable, I finally agreed to try bisoprolol, just 1,25mg daily. Well, the good news is that the palpitations and the breathlessness have almost gone . The bad news is that my resting heart rate is down to 45 in the afternoon, going up to 58 when I'm active.

Tiredness
Hi. I’ve had a few long runs of af this summer. Cardiologist put me on digoxin, ceased Bisoprolol and kept me on apixaban. I’ve also been referred for ablation. Over the last few weeks I’ve had several bouts of af lasting up to three days. Rate has been under 100 but irregular rhythm made me tired/breathless

How do you know if you are still in sinus rhythm
I had my first Cardioversion two days ago. I had three shocks to get my heart back into sinus rythmn. I thought I would feel much better but to be honest I feel just the same. I still have palpitations, still feel like I have run a marathon by the end of the day. I think I might have skipped back

Why today of all days?
Today was meant to be the first day of my holiday. A much needed holiday after having had a cardioversion 2 weeks ago. However yesterday I came down with a fever! Two negative covid test (yesterday and today) but heart rate has increased from a resting rate of around 65bpm to 99bpm and I’m getting

Palpitations
I have heart palpitations quite often. Lately even two panic attacks. Driving in the car, I feel my heart beating fast. Sitting in the waiting room of doctors also. Or even writing this post. Doesn't take much to set me off. The panic attacks are much worse. My heart feels like it's pounding out of my
