Pressure on mid back causing AF to come on.
I was diagnosed with af maybe 4 years ago. Because mefications made me unwell i was finally fitted with a pacemaker in prepation for AV node ablation. Once the pm was fitted i was able to forgo the node ablation. In the last few months ive been getting especially at night short breathed and coughing

Dual chamber pacemaker and HF
Hi, had a dual chamber pacemaker fitted back in July 2022 following AV node ablation. Now have HF, told by HF nurse possible cause may be due to the pacing of the R/H chambers causing strain to the L/H as it needs work harder Had symptoms of HF since being paced, HF just confirmed in the last week through

A “success story” , finally.
I have been suffering the effects of AF plus the negative side of the meds for many years. Fortunately, after taking me two years considering the last option I went ahead. And in July 2023 I have a pacemaker insertion then in November had the AV Node ablation. It was needed a few weeks/months to deal

Ablation on Wednesday, Not in afib for a few days
I have a 7 year history of AFIB and have my second Cardiac Ablation on Wednesday. I have paroxysmal AFIB not so bad after last ablation 18 months ago, but as luck has it I haven't had an episode for two weeks. Last time my consultant said they can induce it forthe ablation, which they did. does anyone

Shocked by Ablation
During a
catheter
ablation
yesterday, I experienced a mild pain similar to heartburn. I had been warned about this and it didn`t worry me. I also, however, experienced what I can only describe as an electric shock. It was severe enough to jerk my upper body 10 or 20 degrees off the bed.

I have had Atrial Fibrillation for over 30 years. I have a pacemaker fitted and have been offered a procedure called Ablate and Pace I wondered if anyone has had it and what their experiences are.

Magnesium Taurate, anyone here take it and have seen any benefits for SVT/PAC/PVC’s?
Hi all, I had my second ablation in 2020 and was asked if I wanted to be part of a
catheter
ablation
study whereby they wanted to see the benefit or drawbacks of the two types of 3D mapping devices commonly used.

AV node ablation after pacemaker implantation
Is it normal to be short of breath after 2 months of AV node ablation and pacemaker implantation? Any comment would be much appreciated, thanks.

Superventricular tachycardia along side PV
The treatment I have opted for is
catheter
ablation
. Unfortunately there us a 6 month wait for treatment here in Scotland 😔 I have been prescribed Bisoprolol in the meantime and I am hoping this will settle my symptoms till I get a date for the ablation.

Cardiac Ablation Looks Successful!
I was diagnosed with Paroxysmal Afib in April of 2022. During my annual physical my PCP heard what he thought was a murmur, and called in a consult. After testing the afib was confirmed. I never noticed it, but started monitoring with a smartwatch and began to feel the episodes as they progressed. This

Pace Maker with Rate Response
What has been the experience of others with a pacemaker with Rate Response? My heart rate increases rapidly when I go from resting 70 bpm to getting up and moving around which makes me feel like my heart is pounding and I"m out of breath. I've had many adjustments with no change really. I have an

hi folks, for everyone who has had
ablation
(

I have been taking dronedarone for 4 years for paroxysmal af. At first it worked very well but now I go into AF about once a week. My last annual check was 400 af episodes which was a shock as I was not aware of that many. I have a pacemaker as my heart rate was too slow . It has been fixed at 61. An

Ablation of AV node after pacemaker put on in July
Well, I have finally had the AV node Ablation, after having the pacemaker placed in July. Now I don’t get arrhythmia anymore but very fast pulsations and low rates, always around the 80s and at rest 75. Guess the pm needs to adjust to a more acceptable pace. Waiting to see. Any ideas, please. Thanks
