All Change and on List for Ablation - a post-cardiologist update
He has put me on the list for a
catheter
ablation
(in 3-4 months) and has taken me off bisoprolol. He has prescribed 2 x daily 50mg of flecainide to start on Tuesday, and an EGC after 7 days to check how the flecainide affects me.

AV Node ablation & CRT Pacemaker
Hi I'm another newbie. I had a heart attack 20 years ago at the age of 55. It left me with atrial fibrillation and over the years I have been treated with medication, 2 pulmonary vein isolation ablations and 7 cardioversions. I don't seem to have many options left to me know and I have recently been

Pericarditis after ablation?
I had a
catheter
ablation
on Monday this week following just 48 hours of AF. I had never had it before. Because it is hereditary they decided to skip most of the treatments and go straight for ablation.

Stopping Bisoprolol
I had a SVT
catheter
ablation
3 days ago and an AVNRT was identified/ablated. I was told to stop my 6.25mg bisoprolol 5 days prior to the procedure and then advised by the Consultant (after the op), that I didn't need to take them anymore.

Reducing stomach fat when on AF medication.
I have had a number of Cardioversion and 2
Catheter

Ablation
. I am on bisoloprol and Riveroxaban to manage my AF. I do tend to get breathless when going uphill or standing up suddenly.

AV node ablation
I’m looking at AVNode ablation option if cardioversion does not work which is scheduled for 2 weeks with loading on tykosyn in hospital. Could those of you who have had the node ablation or have information about it please share? I have been told I cannot continue being in tachycardia days after day

Pros & cons of a catheter ablation for AF
I’ve had AF diagnosed for several months, and the Cardioversion I had reverted back into AF. The second one is holding with the help of a drug, but I’m being recommended an ablation. I actually feel more well now than I have for many months, and it is hard to voluntarily put myself through another procedure

One year since ablation and suffering
I had a
catheter
ablation
last February for SVT (my heart rate would go up to 200/220 BPM and I had to be admitted to A&E each time). The procedure was apparently tricky as I went into heart block and the surgeon said that he nearly had to fit a pacemaker.

My AF story.
My introduction to af started approx 10 years ago. I was about 70 and was a little worried but at the same time was certain that after the medication everything would be sorted. After around 7 years or so and 4 ablations, obviously I had periods after each ablation when my heart settled down but unfortunately

Adenomyosis new diagnosis
Hi everyone. I’m a bit nervous due to not understanding my situation and would appreciate any support with explanations as I’ve been told that they would want me to have biopsy and I’ve been put on Norethisterone till a decision is made which treatment as all others have not worked for me. I’m 43

Migraine aura...
Does anyone know if when having a
catheter
ablation
for Flutter which I had, does it involve a “transeptal puncture” like an ablation for Fibrillation.

Recently had a cardiac ablation
Ive been having terrible mood swings - I feel angry all the time and over the littlest things, I'm freezing all the time and I'm so tired. I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience and what you did to ease them? I know that these are probably just side effects and will eventually

Pacemaker for AF
After a
catheter
ablation
which was successful for a few months I’ve been offered a pace and ablate procedure at LHCH Liverpool. Will I have better energy, no light headedness. Or breathlessness because AF will still be there. Any answers please !

Post Cardiac Ablation Floaters / Spots
Hi All, I received a successful cardiac ablation back in August, 2019 which involved trans-septal puncture. For the subsequent month, I experienced a number of visual aura disturbances without migraine (these have since subsided). However, 6 months later, I still feel like my vision isn’t fully back
