Catheter Ablation
I would just like to ask anyone about their experiences with
Catheter
Ablation
for AF. I had my second one last November and I expected some discomfort having had my first one two years previous to that.

General anaesthetic and arrythmia
I recently underwent a procedure and experienced frequent ectopic beats and fast heart rate days afterwards. I had a cardiac ablation a few years ago fir Atrial Fibrillation, and haven't had any episodes since, until the aftermath of aforementioned surgery. Has anybody else experienced a similar reaction

Afib and aflutter
I’m new here and looking for similar conditions and ideas to cope. I had Afib for 20 straight months. After 5 cardio and 1 ablation I finally was out of Afib which lasted about a year. Then into aflutter which has turned out to be more debilitating than Afib. Ive had cardioversions and ablation that

PVC’s or ectopic beats
Hi, I was diagnosed with paroxysmal afib at 43 in 2017 and had
catheter
ablation
in March this year. Afib returned for a couple of hours twice but was in the 3 month blanking period so was ok.

AV node ablation
Hi all Need some advice, have a two lead pacemaker (4years) Now advised to have an A V. Node ablation. Seeing the cardiologist on Thursday at Barts. Open heart surgery for mitral valve repair (18 years) June of last year diagnosed with Polymyagia, and taking steroids, now reducing them, hoping this

2 Catheter ablations, one open heart RF ablation, all failed
It has been over 3 months since my open heart RF ablation and my arrhythmia has returned with no respite, for a week now. Does anyone know what the next step will be? I want to be prepared when I go see my cardiologist again.

AV Node Ablation Update
Hello and Happy and Healthy New Year to everyone Thought I’d update you on my current situation. I had a Pacemaker fitted on June 30th as the first stage of Pace and Ablate after my third ablation failed in Sept 2020 and drugs didn’t help. The AV node ablation was meant to be 4-6 weeks after the PaceMaker

2nd Ablation
I had a
catheter
ablation
for atrial flutter which was successful unfortunately I also have A-Fib. My doctor does not think a 2nd ablation would help and believes my A-Fib can be treated with Flecainide which so far has controlled my A-Fib.

Wiggly arteries stopping ablation
The arteries were so “wiggly” that the
catheter
tore an artery and
ablation
was abandoned. A repeat a few months later also had to be abandoned. The condition is now controlled by meds only (Bisoprolol, Ramipril). I have a steadily growing ascending aortic aneurism and damaged aortic valve.

AV Node Ablation appointment.
Hello, not been around much but have been reading. I’ve been feeling a bit down with how things were going. I have permanent fast AF and had a Pacemaker at the end of June and was told I wouldn’t feel any benefit until after my AV Node Ablation which would be 4-6 weeks later. Unfortunately I had no news

Ablation for SVT
Cardiologist strongly recommended a
catheter
ablation
over medication as he didn't see the point in taking anything for something I get so rarely, plus I have low blood pressure which had been made worse with even the lowest dose of bisoprolol I was prescribed by a GP at one point- I don't take it anymore

Catheter Ablation in Australia and availability under public or private system only - and out of pocket costs?
My EP wants me to have
catheter
ablation
as soon as possible, but said we would wait until my new health cover was available, but I was wondering what other Australian patients experiences/costs were. Thankyou.

Pain in the neck - and elsewhere!
I have a sore throat, which I did expect, from the TOE procedure which accompanies
catheter
ablation
, but what I didn't expect is the muscle aches and tenderness around my neck.

Ablation Questions again...re Catheter Insertion
Hi, the replies to my last post about my upcoming ablation were very useful thank you I'm probably over thinking things again, but due to have a 1st ablation in Feb , I can't seem to stop over analysing things, my nature is that I like to know every detail inside out and my latest concern is this.

How Long Does It Take For ‘Moderately Enlarged Left Atrium’ To Revert Back To Size?
I will be having a
catheter
ablation
next year May 2022 (due to health fund wait for 12m on pre-existing condition). My enlarged atrium was probably caused by uncontrolled high blood pressure and maybe endurance exercise.

Ectopic beats 18 months after Atrial Flutter ablation
My question is: I had a
catheter
ablation
for Atrial Flutter in September 2019 and was given the all clear the first three months after the procedure. I was taking Sotalol (and still am). Since the procedure I go well for a while, but then have short runs of what feels like ectopic beats?
