Hi everyone, after a successful
cardioversion
I felt amazing. However, after six weeks I was told it has failed. I still felt alot better but recently it has been getting worse with some dizziness and more episodes.

Bisoprolol - is it ok to stop taking altogether?
A period on apixaban and bisoprolol and then a successful
cardioversion
in August 22. My heart remained in normal rhythm for just under a year, and my AF returned June 23. Another
cardioversion
restored rhythm in November 23.

Newbie - Constant bradycardia afib/arrhythmia symptoms?
The only symptom that stopped after the
cardioversion
was a slight ad-hoc chest flutter During his (short) time in sinus rhythm though nothing else changed. Should it have as he was no longer in afib?

Still in AF 25 days post ablation.. do I take Amiodarone?
I'm headed for a
cardioversion
in the next couple of months and the arrhythmia nurse has asked my GP to prescribe amiodarone. I've been on amiodarone before, for 12 months, in the run up to and after a successful
cardioversion
.

Cryo ablation 6 days ago..am I back in AF?
So.... is
cardioversion
a viable option, is there a window in which it might work/ have worked successfully? Is it worth getting one privately (I could raid the savings if it would be money well spent and get done quickly). Can I avoid going back on amiodarone?

Sleep Apnea and afib
Today I had a
cardioversion
which was successful; and of course, I hope it lasts. The team who administered the procedure reported that sleep apnea showed up during the
cardioversion
. Their opinion is that sleep apnea is a genuine problem that often contributes to afib.

Then, I had another
cardioversion
12 weeks ago, and unfortunately, I'm now back in full-time atrial fibrillation. I've been referred back to the hospital in England, where they might do another
cardioversion
or consider switching to Amiodarone, but it will take at least two, maybe four months.

Pulmonary Vein Isolation
I am 84 Permanent afib that no longer responds to
cardioversion
. The Electrophysiologist told me 70% chance for results but may not last longer than 7 months. If I do not elect to have this deterioration of afib and worsening symptoms.

Monitor for Afib
Hi all,Having gone into permanent Afib after a covid infection with no previous history I've had a
cardioversion
whist on amiodarone. As far as I'm aware I'm still in sinus rhythm and now off amiodarone (thank goodness). I'm on the waiting list for an ablation.

My INR is 2.3 so can I wait until 7 days before going for the dreaded
cardioversion
? Propafenone was stopped because even though calcium score was 0 there was a blockage in RHS coronary artery that he said was stable and didn’t want to touch. Advice appreciated folks thanks

Hi, My husband had a
cardioversion

Amiodarone
I was admitted to hospital last week with extreme AF (between 28 and 270 bpm) After a couple of days of unsuccessful drug therapy, I was given a
cardioversion
(my second) and went back into NSR immediately.
