Update after cardioversion
Had my
cardioversion
this morning and my heart is now back I sinus rhythm. Doc said it will probably return. Gave me a new medicine amiodatone , 200mg to help keep my heart in sinus rhythm. Said my two ventricles were somewhat enlarged due to age and exercise.

Angiogram plus possible angioplasty vs CT Angiogram
Failed
cardioversion
recently. Ablation or drug assisted
cardioversion
next step. However, next stage is angiogram plus possible angioplasty in April. I’m grateful for treatment of course and very wary of questioning NHS support.

Two weeks after ablation and I'm on the list for a cardioversion
Is there a realistic chance I'll go into, and stay in, normal rhythm before the
cardioversion
? I know it's early days but the nurses have clearly decided to have an intervention in place if needed.

After cardioversion
Hi me again My husband had a
cardioversion
on Friday. It wasn't the same as usual when he has had Arrythmia but for severe atrial flutter and it was a rushed job in A & E where he was only partially sedated so he felt it. His heart rhythm/ speed is back to normal but he feels rubbish.

Hi everyone I had my
cardioversion
today and it was successful. Thank you everyone for your support and you were all right it wasn’t as bad as I had imagined. When the consultant came to see me before discharge he was a bit perturbed!

1st question re cardioversion
Apart from a brief conversation re
cardioversion
and ablation when I was 1st diagnosed, none of the cardiologists I have seen have suggested that I should have
cardioversion
. I am currently taking 10mg of Bisoprolol a day in two 5mg tablets, morning and afternoon, 10mg Ramipril and 60mg Edoxaban.

After my pre op this morning I have decided to go ahead with the
cardioversion
next Thursday. I can’t say I won’t be anxious and wary but I think it will be for the best.

Thank you everyone for taking the trouble to reply to my post, it’s given me food for thought and has put my mind at rest somewhat.

light headed after cardioversion
I had
cardioversion
2 days ago which put me back into sinus rhythm. This will be my 3rd one. I usually feel great afterwards but this time I still feel light headed and tired. I did some light exercise today and heart rate raised to 140 which is high for me. Has anyone else had this?

Chostochondritus after cardioversion ?
Hi everyone, after a successful
cardioversion
I felt amazing. However, after six weeks I was told it has failed. I still felt alot better but recently it has been getting worse with some dizziness and more episodes.

Bisoprolol - is it ok to stop taking altogether?
A period on apixaban and bisoprolol and then a successful
cardioversion
in August 22. My heart remained in normal rhythm for just under a year, and my AF returned June 23. Another
cardioversion
restored rhythm in November 23.

Newbie - Constant bradycardia afib/arrhythmia symptoms?
The only symptom that stopped after the
cardioversion
was a slight ad-hoc chest flutter During his (short) time in sinus rhythm though nothing else changed. Should it have as he was no longer in afib?
