Post Cardioversion
In my previous post I explained that my 3rd carioversion did not work even after one hour I was back into afib. However something strange is happening or at least it seems strange to me but may be normal. Five days after my cardio I got up around 2:30-3:00 am to use the loo. I could feel my heart in

2nd Ablation woes
Spoke to Arrythmia nurse and she advised this is quite common and I might need a
cardioversion
in 6 weeks after healing. I feel so disappointed had a lovely week and a half of feeling good now it feels I’m back to square one feeling so down. Anyone else had this at all?

ectopics or extra beats.
I have twice in the past converted to persistent AF which has been sorted both times by
cardioversion
. However yesterday for the entire day my heart felt like it was having a disco. Ectopics, extra beats, early or skipped beats…..whatever! Should I be worried?

Amiodarone again...loading dose?
I'm reluctantly back on Amiodarone ahead of a
cardioversion
in the next few weeks. I had an ablation five weeks ago and have been in AF for the duration. When I was originally on Amiodarone (before a successful carioversion) I started on a high loading dose.

Cryo ablation 6 days ago..am I back in AF?
So.... is
cardioversion
a viable option, is there a window in which it might work/ have worked successfully? Is it worth getting one privately (I could raid the savings if it would be money well spent and get done quickly). Can I avoid going back on amiodarone?

Bisoprolol - is it ok to stop taking altogether?
A period on apixaban and bisoprolol and then a successful
cardioversion
in August 22. My heart remained in normal rhythm for just under a year, and my AF returned June 23. Another
cardioversion
restored rhythm in November 23.

Newbie - Constant bradycardia afib/arrhythmia symptoms?
The only symptom that stopped after the
cardioversion
was a slight ad-hoc chest flutter During his (short) time in sinus rhythm though nothing else changed. Should it have as he was no longer in afib?

Pulmonary Vein Isolation
I am 84 Permanent afib that no longer responds to
cardioversion
. The Electrophysiologist told me 70% chance for results but may not last longer than 7 months. If I do not elect to have this deterioration of afib and worsening symptoms.

cardioversion. - I felt and remember it! 😵💫😮
Had first
cardioversion
this past Thursday. Fairly sure I am not supposed to remember the shock and pain from the shock. It hurt so bad I tensed up, pulled a muscle in my back and bit my tongue which was bleeding when I woke up.

My Wife had a recent AF episode
NHS were totally brilliant and within two hour was given a
cardioversion
which put her back into normal sinus rhythm. She was given 1.25mg of Bisoprolol and told to take this until she could be seen at arrythmia clinic. She has this appointment on 29th.

Then, I had another
cardioversion
12 weeks ago, and unfortunately, I'm now back in full-time atrial fibrillation. I've been referred back to the hospital in England, where they might do another
cardioversion
or consider switching to Amiodarone, but it will take at least two, maybe four months.

1st question re cardioversion
Apart from a brief conversation re
cardioversion
and ablation when I was 1st diagnosed, none of the cardiologists I have seen have suggested that I should have
cardioversion
. I am currently taking 10mg of Bisoprolol a day in two 5mg tablets, morning and afternoon, 10mg Ramipril and 60mg Edoxaban.

The first
cardioversion
is like a trial run, and the second one is to fix the problem.

Depressing cardiology consultation
Cardiologist didn't think it was worth me having a 3rd
cardioversion
as it probably wouldn't work.

Reducing bisoprolol
After an ablation in early April I went into symptomatic AF after two days but have since had a successful
cardioversion
. I remain in NSR and on advice from the arrhythmia nurse have reduced my bisprolol from 5mg to 2.5 mg daily. I'm a week into the lower dose.

After cardioversion
Hi me again My husband had a
cardioversion
on Friday. It wasn't the same as usual when he has had Arrythmia but for severe atrial flutter and it was a rushed job in A & E where he was only partially sedated so he felt it. His heart rhythm/ speed is back to normal but he feels rubbish.
