What is going on? " Rationing "? [ former GPs words before cardiac arrest ]
My
cardiac
arrest
was sudden due to mobility symptons ignored [ breathing neglected ] when it was oxygen getting to main organs . Was I being punished as a smoker - no longer- when had had broncho pneumonia as a child?

A Case of Negligence?
How should I proceed as admin blocking contact with heart specialist who never saw before
cardiac

even though weekly visits. Will my life be curtailed next?

What is the difference between a pacemaker, ICD and S-ICD?
An ICD (implantable cardioverter defibrillator) might be fitted to prevent arrhythmias from deaths from sudden
cardiac
arrest
(SCA). If your doctor has suggested that you need an ICD you may have experienced or may be at risk of experiencing an abnormal, fast heart rhythm.

What happens if you have a cardiac arrest in a rural area ? Can they get to you in time. Do they use Air Ambulances ?
Am having to move from London as the LAs & admins interference with appropriate treatment & contact with specialist is not acceptable & downright dangerous . When a Cardiologist asks for next available appointment & I shouldn't eventually have to get a GP to follow up . The date comes back nearly

Where is your nearest AED?
Sudden
cardiac
arrest
kills 100,000 people in the UK a year. Survival rates could be increased from 5% with CPR to 50% with CPR and defibrillation. Do you have an automated external defibrillator (AED) in your community?

Have you heard of Hearts & Goals?
He had suffered a sudden
cardiac
arrest
. Luckily there was an automated external defibrillator (AED) in the stadium, which helped to save his life. Around 100,000 people in the UK every year are not as lucky. They are killed by sudden cardiac death.

Superhero to Zero……but I have a new toy!
All during the 9 week programme I didn’t get any injuries or joint pains other than some piriformis which luckily didn’t stop me running. I didn’t get any colds or bugs, just some aches after a run that would be gone the next day, which I just consider a normal by-product of running. So overall, and

Nearly Two years on
In those 53 days I was intubated for the first 19 days, then had a tracheotomy, given a less than 10% chance of survival due to double pneumonia, sepsis and multiple organ failure, put on a dialysis machine, Had respiratory
arrest
due to a mucus plug which caused 2
cardiac
arrests, had a chest drain

Is wheat healthy?
Since March 2009 after a
cardiac
arrest
I have been on a diet where sugar, oil, salt and fat are restricted.I have started eating whole wheat, more vegetable and fruits. Initially I weighed 85 kg. I dropped to 65 kg. But as from the year 2011 I started to put on weight. Actually I am 70 kg.

How life can change so fast.
On 21st December the doctor took my wife and son into the small waiting room and said all my organs were failing and I now had sepsis and should I go into
cardiac
arrest
they would not resusitate and my chance of survival was less than 10% that evening all my family came to see me for what they thought

Cimzia arrived today!
Was very excited - but when I opened the first box I started to feel sick with nerves! I have had to come off of Enbrel as it has stopped working for me (was wonderful for 2.5 years), Enbrel is easy as the injector pen does it all for you. Seeing actual injections is freaking me out, still waiting

Stupid or not?
I had a heart attack followed by a quad bypass(during which i suffered
cardiac
arrest
) and was found to have FH. My current total chol is 4.5. I had been taking medication(Bisoprolol and Candesartan) for high blood pressure for 30+years. Aspirin and statins were then added to my medication.

Starting the plan with anxiety disorder, agoraphobia and panic attacks, palpitations (eptopic beats - confirmed, nothing serious). Hahahaha!
Not making a bridge between the physical sensations and the 'stories in my mind' such as
cardiac
arrest
! or my final moments - which these days - my final moments (dramatic eh?) I feel more at ease with. This has been helped with the cd course I mentioned earlier.

Hello, My name is Vickie. I was born in New Zealand but have lived in both England and New Zealand over my life time. Your very lucky in Britain to have an excellant health service for rare diseases like childhood liver disease and even adult liver disease. Although we have had a liver transplant centre

Just diagnosed APS, Already have MS, Need support and advice please
Hi, I have MS, I was dx when I was 28 - now 37. It is a definite diagnosis. I had what I thought was a killer MS relapse 2 and a half years ago, and have been in a wheelchair ever since. I had a CT scan, told no, not a stroke and home I went packed full IV of steroids. Then, last October - I'm now 37

FMS and Dilated Cardiomyopathy
I have had FMS for many years now and had come to terms with the changes this had made to my life...recently after having a
cardiac
arrest
I was diagnosed having cardiomyopathy DCM (Dilated). I had an ICD fitted whilst I was in hospital because of the high risk of me having sudden death attacks.
