PBC Diagnosis
I know when you have a positive AMA, you are likely to develop PBC, but I feel like with the medication roller coaster I have had this year (
cardiac
ablation
for aflutter), many meds including antidepressants, I’m not convinced that the elevated ALP is due to PBC.

Advice
My husband has just had a catheter ablation, his first one, last Thursday. He’s having really bad headaches, is this expected? I will give the gp a ring on Monday if no better but just wondered if this is ‘normal’

Catheter ablation with emphysema
I am scheduled for ablation next month. I have read many post of successful procedures. My concern is that the burns that are mad in the heart get close to the pulmonary veins . Has anyone with emphysema had a good outcome even though they have lung conditions. Would love to hear feedback from anyone

Ventricular Ectopic Beats - Possible short term relief
I am 63 and have suffered this terrible condition for 47 years, climaxing with 23,000 recorded ectopics in a single day. I am absolutely sure from my own experience that there is a relationship between my stomach and my cardiac rhythm. When I eat my heart rate rockets but my wife's does not. When my

Recovery after Catheter Ablation
I had an ablation treatment last Thursday 27th Dec, it went well, so I gather, but I understand that it was more complicated than anticipated. It took some time to complete the investigative part of the treatment and then five locations were identified and I then received 5 "burns". The whole treatment

Longstanding Paroxysmal af: What next for me?
Hi - A question or two and a bit of a moan - sorry! I have had Paroxysmal AF for 20 years. I had a pacemaker fitted in 2005 following a reaction after amiodorone which paces me at 60. Then 5 years AF clear then episodes started again. I've had 3 ablations in past 5 years and my EP says there's nothing

A/Fib and Exercise.
I am a new here, but not new to A/Fib or A/Flutter. After 4 decades of distance running I ended up with a heart attack and quadruple bypass at 65. (12 years ago) Back to running within 6 weeks but 5 years later A/Fib struck, followed a year later by A/Flutter. 2013 and a RF Catheter Ablation restored

heart failure after av node ablation
In November last year I had a pacemaker fitted and after 5 weeks had a AV node ablation. I am in persistent AF but intolerant of drugs. Last week I was diagnosed with left sided heart failure. I wrote to my EP at Stoke as I was concerned he is going to see me in clinic at the end of February to discuss

AF ablation risks and concerns
Hi all, I'm new to this forum and have found a lot of reassuring posts and comments on here - so thank you to everyone who's contributed! My situation: I'm a 43-year male, non-smoker, not overweight, CHADSVASC=0, generally good health... recently diagnosed with paroxysmal AF and a 'more regular tachycardia

PNI After Catheter Ablation
Hi guys, This is more just a query, rather than looking for a definite answer: what sort of time frame after catheter ablation does phrenic nerve injury occur? I only ask as, having read a few paper online I know it's something that does happen. But none of them go into much detail about how

Ablation tomorrow
Hey guys, I’m scheduled to have a RF
cardiac
ablation
tomorrow for PSVT and I thought I’d create a post here. I’ve had the condition since I was in my teens and now 12 years later, I decided to opt for the ablation.

Does Hydroxurea give you nightmares?
Hello Lovely members, I have ET ( JAK2 ), aged 56 and for 9 years just took I Cartia per day (1/2 aspirin) as level was around 900. This year, I had an atypical stroke/seizure whilst asleep (after forgetting to take the Cartia) which showed up clearly on an MRI, so I started Hydroxurea (Hydrea) at 1

Svt’s and Afib
I had
cardiac
ablation
March 2018. Two week heart monitor showed some Svt’s and some Afib. On medication and blood thinner. What heart medicine do you take to control Svt’s? I have had multaq, tioksen, amiodarone, flecainide. I now am on metropolol, fosinopril, and eliquis.

Struggling with ventricar ectopics
I tried beta blockers to no avail and was sent for
cardiac
ablation
. Waited years for it and the day comes and they cancel the operation because for the one day I needed them to show, they didn't, so they couldn't operate. I'm absolutely gutted and upset.
