Catheter ablation with emphysema

I am scheduled for ablation next month. I have read many post of successful procedures. My concern is that the burns that are mad in the heart get close to the pulmonary veins . Has anyone with emphysema had a good outcome even though they have lung conditions. Would love to hear feedback from anyone that can relate to this concern. Thank you, Barbara

I am currently undergoing Pulmonary Rehab.. 8 weeks, twice a week in the hospital gym for very long term chronic lung condition. I was in hospital on my 82nd birthday nearly three years ago having an ablation. So far ablation successful. I had GA for the ablation. My dodgy lungs were no problem. I wish you well.. go for it.
