Weekly taxol
Just been to see my onc today and he is suggesting weekly taxol. Has anybody else had this. If so what are the side effects like compared to the normal three week regime. Are you more or less likely to be prone to infections etc. I have had taxol before with and without carboplatin on the three week

Anyone with any experience of tamoxifen?
My mum had her first regular check up today after finishing chemotherapy (
carbo
/
taxol
) in October for stage 4 oc. Our worst fears have been realised and her ca125 is up from 17 at the end of November to 289. This is a massive jump, especially considering it was only 437 when she was diagnosed.

Taxol
Hi everyone I finished my second line chemo (carboplatin/taxol) on 16 February and go today to see my oncologist about the results. I know my CA125 was still 177 by the end of the 5th chemo so I'm feeling slightly apprehensive about what I'm going to be told. On my third chemo the taxol was reduced

Re-posting this as I realised I'd ticked the box for members only ... and to give an update...
She started weekly
Carbo
/
Taxol
in December but ended up in hospital after week 1 due to a blood clot and being very weak with the constant vomiting. She spent 5 weeks in hospital on the weekly regime but was told 7 weeks ago that it wasn't working and that she was being moved to a hospice.

Cabozantinib (XL184) Trial Drug - update
I have already had
carbo
/
taxol
, caeylx and Topetecan. A good proportion of my tumours were cyst-like. The drug works by attacking the blood supply to the tumours. Mine have significantly reduced in size and are haemoraging.

Pre-chemo session blood test failure
What is the significance of one's blood test being insufficiently back up to the necessary levels for next chemo session? I am on carboplatin for the third time in several years (previous two was taxol as well) but this is the first time my chemo has been delayed due to this blood situation. Seeing my

Loss of smell and taste
I had had two lots of
carbo
/
taxol
treatment within four years but it was only some months after the last treatment that my smell and taste suddenly disappeared two years ago. I saw an ENT specialist who did a 'wotsit'-oscopy and ordered a head scan.

Diagnosed with ovarian cancer in March
Diagnosed with oc in march 2011 and told possibility of tumours in the liver. Had chemo carboplatin and taxol, six sessions. Went to see oncologist today who confirmed that the tumours in the liver had shrunk and were dormant. Told that i would probably need more treatment in future for oc as it would

Would like to hear experiences of anyone who has had multiple chemo's over a number of years. Am on 3rd line chemo..
I've had the full surgery. Chemo worked well with first two courses, this one is on track also to get me into remission for the third time - each time CA in single figures by the end of the course. Apart from second line taxol problems, few side effects so very lucky. But as the pattern of chemo/remission

Caelyx followed by Carboplatin and Taxol
I've been advised that I could have Caelyx followed by Carboplatin and Taxol further down the line. Wondered if anyone had gone down this route and if what the advantages and disadvantages were.

Since Dose 2 of Taxol & Carboplatin, I get the most awful pain in my back - acid reflux I'm assuming which seems to last for 2/3 days.
This reflux pain is worse than any I have had before and it is so disabling around 5/6 days post-chemo. I already take Omeprazole daily and have started taking Ranitidine in addition, which helps very slightly. Any advise please?
