Hi dede. Carbo/taxol does cause physical pain, it certainly did with me. If you have any worries my first thought would be to go to your GP.
My GP is always my first step when I don't feel well, but I am lucky as she has worked in Oncology and so does understand, some Dr's are pretty useless.
I am on Carbo at the moment with Avastin and I feel dreadful for about 6 days after treatment. As the weeks progress to my next chemo I start to feel better. Also remember the more of the chemotherapy one gets inside the body the worse the side effects are as the toxins are building up.
Hope you are soon feeling better.

Do check with your doctors if it doesn't go away; but at the end of 6 rounds of chemo I found everything made me ache and hurt, and it had to be worked through. Keep moving as much as you can, and eat well (fresh, raw, fruit and veg, etc). Rest too, and I found a wrapped up ice pack on the base of the neck for 10-15 minutes relieved the pain for an hour or two!
Very best wishes,
Isadora.
I am disabled following a car accident three years ago and the chemo (same as yours) has caused terrible pain at the site of the injuries. My doc' prescribed Tramadol which has seen if off very effectively so do go and see your doc - s/he can help. And yes, ice packs work really well too.
Hi
By the time I'd finished my second x 6 of carbo/taxol I had severe pains in many of my joints despite the last two taxol being on a reduced dose. Pain killers saw me through and within a month of finishing all symptoms had gone. Hang on in there but check with doc if it doesn't ease up soon.
