Update
Evening dear friends Just to update you all, I started my 4th line chemo today Taxol. As most of you know I have found this time harder to deal with, but as I walked into the day unit I was greeted by old friends that I have met on my journey and realised its not just me belonging to the club nobody

Hi hope everyone is doing ok. I don't comment often but support this site. I was diagnosed in 2016 and have gone through so many treatments. My last one was in June which was weekly taxol. After a month I developed the shakes, i had a brain scan which didn't show anything so I was recommended to see

Update on Treatment
Evening friends I have just got back from my appointment with consultant , the cancer is on the surface of the liver as we thought. They propose Taxol given 2weeks then one off, it's been two half years since last time combined with Carbo but I am resistant to platinum now. So will have it on its own

I have been a bit quiet on this board as have been feeling quite unwell during my last few weeks on Taxol. I had 19 doses of weekly Taxol. OnTuesday I had my scans and had myself completely convinced my tumours were growing. I felt so sick waiting to see my oncologist, He gave me a huge smile and said

Unbearably itchy arm from PICC. PICC taken out. Getting a Port put in. One more carbo/taxol then Avastin for 1y. Good choice to get port?
Hi ladies. I’ve had a bit of trouble getting cannulated for my treatments. First treatment took 5 attempts to cannulate. Other infusions only took one go but I was advised to get a PICC due to my small veins. I only had the PICC in for four days before I had to get it taken out again, it was unbearably

Question re calories and LCHF diet
Could someone advise whether one has to count calories on a LCHF diet. Ive lost 4lb since starting this week and don't want to stop the process- have not been counting carbs at all. Have eaten a lot but within an eight hour window. Thanks for advice!

Update rising Ca125 on Niraparib
Morning lovely ladies and thank you to all of you who replied to my previous post. I had my ct scan on Wednesday and my consultant appointment yesterday. My oncologist was brilliant and very sympathetic. She gave me time to talk and really listened to what I had to say. She had a look at my scan and

Trucking along
Side effects from chemo with Ryan still suck. It’s like nerves all over the place hurt him. Injection site hurts. Not red or swollen or anything. Taxol is a serious irritant. Anywho, he’s okay. Hair is slowly starting to come out as of yesterday. He’s fine with it. I am hell bent on getting him back

Chemo headwear advice please
Wonder if anyone can help? I’m expecting to lose my hair with my weekly taxol starting next week. I lost my hair in summer 2017 and wore a mixture of a wig and various “buffs” - sports headwear that can be worn in different ways. Back then my kids and I wanted me to look “normal” on the school run and

Weekly taxol
Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone’s had any success with just weekly taxol. I went through weeks of tests to see if I qualified to go on the dice trial, did qualify, but was randomly NOT chosen, which seemed such a waste of time, so now been put on weekly taxol as my 4th line chemo

Sadly, Christmas isn't fun for everyone
What will you be eating this Christmas? Tom's been eating 900 calories a day since his bariatric surgeon gave him an intragastric balloon. Arthur can barely remember a day when he wasn't on some sort of diet. And Lizzie is still the same weight she always was, despite obsessively weighing herself every

Hi guys. We are 5 days post chemotherapy treatment. (Carboplatin and Taxol combo) Ryan is doing fairly well. He has some achy joints and muscles. Unfortunately so much so that he has been taking a low dose pain med. tolerable once it kicks in and he can carry on life as normal. He feels fine otherwise
