Hi hope everyone is doing ok. I don't comment often but support this site. I was diagnosed in 2016 and have gone through so many treatments. My last one was in June which was weekly taxol. After a month I developed the shakes, i had a brain scan which didn't show anything so I was recommended to see a neurologist. This appointment is on Thursday. My CA125 level has risen so chemo has been cancelled. I have an urgent scan booked for the 2nd Dec and seeing consultant on the 3rd. I am so worried that they won't be able to offer any further treatment. I am getting so stressed.

Stressful time
Hi Angie. I assume that this is a pelvic scan rather than another brain scan? I can only imagine how you are feeling right now but hopefully there is further treatment then can offer you. Might be worth you giving Macmillan a call because I know the waiting is so bad and maybe they can offer you support? I have everything crossed for you for your scan and your results. Do let us know how you get on. Big hug. Kathy xx
Hi Kathy thanks for your message. Yes another pelvic scan but it wouldnt surprise me if they ask for another brain scan. If i could stop the shaking i would feel so much better. I can't drive and even putting mascara on is a nightmare! I have lost confidence in going out. Hope you are doing ok. Xx
Hi Angie I hadn't realised the shaking was still continuing. That sounds a nightmare! I feel for you I really do. I have everything crossed they can sort this for you and get you some answers. xx Kathy xx
Hi Angie, it sounds like you have a bit of a wait until you find out more. It is a really tough time for you just now, especially with little information. Have you tried the Macmillan helpline? I found them incredibly helpful and really experienced to talk to. Do you also have a CNS nurse who you could chat to and you could explain your worries?
I am sure they will have a plan for you, whatever the outcome, there are more and more options these days and combinations too.
I also try and advise people to get a second opinion if unsure about anything. I did a bit of research when mine came back and ended up going to London to meet a specialist who had more weapons up his sleeve!
I hope this week passes quickly, maybe try and keep busy with things you can do or enjoy. I find meditation helps with my worries and calms things a bit. Much love and do stay in touch here xx Nicky
Hi Nicky thanks for your text. I didn't think about Macmillan helpline. I will try them. It doesn't help being stuck indoors all day. Your mind works overtime. I tried wrapping Christmas pressies yesterday but I was getting so stressed my hands shook so much that the sellotape stuck together. I just wanted to do something normal. Hopefully Thursday's appointment with a neurologist will answer some questions. Take care xx
Hello Angie. I'm very behind in keeping up to date so am trying to have a catch-up . I'm sorry you're feeling so worried and stressed. I know how horrible the waiting is. Just want to wish you the best of luck for next week and hope all goes well.
With love and a hug, Solange. 😊🤞🍀
Hi Solange sorry I haven't replied. Have had a dramatic week. Managed to attend scan on Monday but by the eveningi was violently sick. I ended up in A&E for 9 hours and finally was admitted. Ran x ray which they think shows a blockage. Couldnt get report of scan as it is a different hospital so were working blind. I had 2 1/2 litres of ascites drained off and then was violently sick again. Discharged yesterday afternoon but i was violently sick again and had to go to a&e again and now back in. Hope you are ok xx
