Just to update you all, I started my 4th line chemo today Taxol.
As most of you know I have found this time harder to deal with, but as I walked into the day unit I was greeted by old friends that I have met on my journey and realised its not just me belonging to the club nobody wants to join!!
But what amazing people they are like yourselves who are always there to listen, I feel so much better than a week ago, I'm sending you all my very best wishes and love.

We are in a very strange club aren’t we? It’s sad there are so many members but hopefully the researchers will be able to teach GPs to find an early diagnostic method and also our oncologists find a lasting cure for us sooner rather than later.
I hope your treatment goes well and it kicks the buggers bum up and down the road. Take lots of care, love and hugs ❤️Xx Jane
Well done Ann for being strong and walking back into the chemo unit.
We have to be so thankful to those staff who try hard to look after us.
I know from other posts that solo taxol can be a powerful agent, so fingers crossed it works for you.
I appear to be on my way to 3rd recurrence as ct scan showing tiny new cancer sites and ca125 count beginning to creep upwards. I presently have no symptoms so being left on the Olaparib at a lower dose for the next month to see if the progression is slowed down.
Like you and so many other ladies on this site, l need to stand tall all 5ft 2 inches of myself and get my head around this latest knock back.
Be thinking of you Ann and hope you can have an enjoyable Christmas and New Year. Big hug.
I started taxol for my 4th line back in October, 3 weeks on, 1 week off.
The first one, side affects of stomach pain were really bad, but I like to think it’s the chemo fighting the cancer. I’ve since had 5 more chemo’s and it’s the best I’ve felt for ages, no side affects at all and ca125 is coming down.
It can be scary but its an exclusive club. I hope they managed you properly the first time and this time around by taking weight and Blood pressure every visit. It is easy to overdose if you lose a lot of weight and when you think the taxol is not working any more you are probably right as many develop resistance to chemo drugs. Once this happens best to get off it as further treatment is just a waste of money. Keep strong and be over communicative with the Oncologist and staff.
I hope you will be like me. Also I’m on fourth line , taxol only. I will have my last of 16 infusions next week and I’ve felt really well on it. Just a few minor side effects. I did have to ask for Filgrastim as my platelets were too low.
