covid
I have been taking a bunch of drugs for five years since my heart attack. Now I have tested positive for covid. My wife says she recalls the cardiologist once telling me that if I suffered covid then I should stop taking one of these drugs but does not recall which. I am hesitant to bother the cardiologist

Hello, First post here, but, I do post elsewhere on HU in heart forums. After reading other posts, I suppose I have a question and curious as to if or when a kidney specialist would become involved in someone's treatment? I'll readily admit I'm a bit ignorant on kidney matters, the heart is probably

Severe back pain now to the point where I can not walk 10 steps! Is this entresto sides? Dapagliflozin. Something.severe with kidney?
Or is it just a severe bad back with no specific cause that I can remember. I have heart failure and on all the meds. This last couple days I have back pain on the low right side of my back digging in at me that spreads over. It's got that severe I am literally a cripple. I struggle to do 5 steps to

Results from scan. 36% ef. Previous scan in Jan 35-40%. no change since start Dapagliflozin/forxiga. Q. How do we improve ef rate?
39 yrs old. Had a suspect heart attack back in 2019 where my ef rate was 12% and was in ICU for 10 days praying for my life and coughing up pink phlegm. All the fun stuff of dying from heart failure. Luckily managed to pull through. Fast forward several years of meds and slow recovery. My ef bounced

Curious
Good morning allHaving had DCM for over six years now and still fit and well I was curious to ask if anyone on Dapagliflozin has issues with raised haemocrit? It's been a long time since posting on here and I've forgotten how useful it can be to all. Hope everyone has a nice day.

Dizzy
Up this morning, you'd think i was drunk, staggering to get up,light headed.Checked b/p,was ok. Heart went from 25% to just over 40% from taking dapagliflozin. But don't feel the benefits. Still no energy and limited to what I can do.. Anyone the same?

having been diagnosed with Heart Failure last year I was put on revised meds (Entresto, Dapagliflozin, spironolactone), symptoms, improved. After a few months Consultant increased dose of Entresto to the middle dose. Ejection factor had improved from 20/25%, to 39%. . Also replaced Spiro with eplernone

Dapagliflozin (Forxiga, Farxiga). Has anyone been on this drug long term and experienced improvements to heart?
I have recently been to the cardiologist who has stated my ef rate had dropped from 44% to 35-40% which is a small decline but he is hoping over this next year, that the drug dapa will improve things before intervening any further. Has anyone noticed improvements from this drug specifically?

Dapagliflozin and Thrush
Just taken a pill for thrush, my third attack since starting on dapagliflozin about 18 months ago, annoying but the benefits from taking it far outweigh the disadvantages. If other users get thrush buy the generic tablet Fluconazole, its half the price of Canestan! Funnily enough i was told about the

Last few days i feel like slight pain in lower right belly area and seem to be peeing more than usual. I have been on dapa for a couple months now. Is this a sign of a side effect? I dont get burning when peeing or any other noticeable symptoms. Just mild pain

I would really appreciate some help ,advice ,please!
I posted a couple of months ago asking for advice on alternative to Bisoprolol. After reading reviews I thought I would like to try Nebivolol. My GP wouldn’t prescribe Nebivolol ,only carvedilol, as I had an appointment with a cardiologist in 8 days I thought would ask the doctor then. During the

Bloated stomach and coughing
Hey allI've noticed my stomach is rather bloated and I'm constantly coughing. It's been like it a few days. I take furosemide and dapagliflozin to stop any fluid retention. I've noticed I'm getting tired more as well. Is it worth bothering my heart nurse in case of symptoms flaring up or am I overthinking

CRT pacemaker
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I've been diagnosed with LBBB and am due to have a CRT pacemaker in the next few weeks (hopefully). I had no symptoms and it was only diagnosed following a pre-op assessment for a hip replacement I should have had in February - now postponed until the heart is stable

Dapagliflozin, entresto. Has anyone been on these long term and actually felt improvements from these meds?
Feeling sleepy off the Dapa and always brain fog and spaced out from the entresto. Finding it difficult to see the benefits at times when feeling like this. Walking down the street feeling like the ground is moving or on a wave. Is there a good long term outlook for heart failure and these meds? Anyone

Tinnitus and heart fialure? Is this a common side effect to the meds or linked to heart failure? Who gets it or has worsened since HF?
I have had tinnitus since my army days in my early 20s. Obviously its more noticeable on a night time and it is bad if you focus on it. Now in my late 30s and having heart attack and heart failure i have noticed it getting worse. Real loud! Almost to a point where i hear loud birds or sounds going off

How to talk so my consultant will listen - advice please 🙏
Since my diagnosis, I’ve had ongoing cardiac symptoms but they seem to have grown in frequency since mid January. I have had a couple of reviews with my GP and the decision was taken to stop my dapagliflozin - fine. Additionally, my presyncope symptoms have been getting worse and it’s now been recommended

Medication question: Dapagliflozin (SGLt2). I think this is also called farxiga and other names
Hi everyone, hope you all are well. I am doing alright since my first diagnosis back in Nov 2022. My last Creat(about a month agao) was 2.39 with EGFR at 36. Pretty much the same. I was wondering if any one is taking Dapagliflozin. My Neph recommended it and says might help in proteninuria. I
