Just taken a pill for thrush, my third attack since starting on dapagliflozin about 18 months ago, annoying but the benefits from taking it far outweigh the disadvantages. If other users get thrush buy the generic tablet Fluconazole, its half the price of Canestan! Funnily enough i was told about the cheaper alternative by my local pharmacy, I was in Tesco a couple of days ago and I thought I would get it there but their Pharmacist refused to sell it to me and told me to see my GP, I thought that Pharmacist were supposed to be taking some of the pressure on GPs not adding to it! Anyway I got it from my usual Pharmacy no problems
For those of you on Dapagliflozin have you noticed it makes your pee frothy?😀

The only thing I would say is check it against other medicines, my GP took one look at my list and prescribed me antibiotics and cream. In my case i'm glad he did as Fluconazole has interactions statins, dabigatran and amiodarone, and quite honestly amiodarone is bad enough without adding to it.
I had to stop taking it because my GP believes I might be allergic to it.
In the 3 months I was taking it, I had 6 bouts of thrush, several UTIs, developed medically induced rosacea and it effected my breathing/gave me a winded feeling all the time.
I can’t say I ever noticed the frothy pee thing but then, being of the female variety, that may be why 😂
I hope that it doesn’t become a long term reoccurring symptom because it is annoying!
To be perfectly honest, since my Cardiologist added Dapa to the usual cocktail of post HA medication and slightly increased the other medication I have felt the best I have since my HA(2 stents) 13 years ago. I havent had any angina or used my GTN spray for over a year and have dispensed with the support stockings used for swollen feet. The only drug I had a bad reaction to was Metformin as I am borderline T2 diabetic, I had the most awful runs for 2 weeks I couldnt leave the house, they changed it to slow release Metformin and it is now OK
