Heart failure/tinnitus. Woke up with extremely loud and unusual tinnitus
I have always had tinnitus but since heart failure but more recently this year it seems to be worse. But last night was something new amd extremely loud. I woke up from the middle of some vivid dreams with extremely loud tinnitus type sounds at around 0230. Actually it was different to the usual buzzing

Extreme tiredness
I have seen from other posts that bisoprolol and dapagliflozin can cause tiredness. I am on both and frankly I feel as if I am dragging myself around and can fall asleep as soon as I sit down. This is no way to live and am now suspecting that these two meds are a contributing factor. I have tried

Mitral Valve Leak
I had an echocardiogram to see if my ejection fraction had improved after starting Dapagliflozin and Eplenernone a few months ago. My ejection fraction then was about 30-35% and he said it is now moderately impaired with an ejection fraction around 41%. Worryingly the mitral valve has leaked

Dapagliflozin and alcohol. Whats your experiences? Is this ok to drink and take?
I have not long started this and had 2 small glasses of red wine and feel nausea with it. Is this drug not meant to be mixed at all?

dapagliflozin
Hi I’ve just been prescribed the above for heart failure but I’m not a diabetic, far from it. I’ve just had a mandatory talk from the pharmacist about being light headed but when I’ve looked a side effects there are UTIs , thrush and worryingly dizzy spells. I’ve had a UTI before and I went mildly

Dapagliflozin. Forixga. Only day 2 but woke up feeling so tired and drowsy. Is this normal?
So started this med 2 days ago and last night went to bed feeling tired and almost drowsy on the verge or vertigo type of feeling. Managed to get off and sleep decent except for some nightmares which is also unusual. Woke up feeling like i could go back to bed and feeling drowsy, or a feeling of floating

Dapagliflozin and Furosemide together?
Hello everyone. Hope your all doing great. Just started Dapa today to add to the list (entresto, betas, apixban, eporlenone and Furosemide). I understand dapa acts as a diuretic like Furosemide. Are these drugs ok to take together. I never really liked Furosemide as it never really increased my need

Forxiga. Dapagliflozin. Due to start this drug. Any good? Sides? How does it actually work for the heart? Any improvements?
The information leaflet says it helps diabetes by removing excess sugar in the body thus helping treat that condition. For heart failure it just says it helps protect the heart from getting weaker. It can help patients live longer. But it does not actually say how this works. Can anyone explain? I

Second anniversary of HA and hopefully we’ll on the mend
Good reason to celebrate today as it’s two years to the day that my life was saved by those wonderful NHS folks. Suffered a Stemi / widow maker, but 4 stents got me up and running again. Luckily I live only 8 minutes away from the Leicester Glenfield Heart Unit and an ambulance was in the area. From

Heart failure medication and burning fingertips
Hi, Tom - my 75 year old husband, had a Stemi heart attack (widow maker) two years ago and has made excellent progress with the help of first rate care and treatment and, we try, with a good lifestyle. Currently he’s on nine pills daily to include entresto, eplerenone, dapagliflozin, bisoprolol, edoxapan

It was 13 years ago I had my Heart Attack, I seem to be well stabilised on my present drug regime having been under the hospital Cardiologist for 2 years as a chest X ray for breathing problems then showed up the chance of heart failure. Luckily it was a false alarm and with adjustments to my drugs was

Scary new diagnosis
Hello At 63, I've had autoimmune problems for several years which have steadily led to my becoming housebound. Last week, I had a Cardiology review which turned up unexpected but pretty advanced heart disease. My review letter arrived today and says I have "severe LV impairment" with "cardiomyopathic

Dapagliflozin
hello, I found out in august last year that I’m type 2 diabetic. I went for an appointment to see the nurse and she put me on Dapagliflozin which I have to take one a day. But the last week, I’ve noticed my back aching and I cannot sleep because of it. Does anyone else have this problem?

Dapagliflozin
A few people have asked about Dapagliflozin. I found this long but very enlightening article that has reassured me quite a lot. https://utswmed.org/medblog/sglt2-inhibitors-heart-failure-diabetes/

Dapagliflozin - fatigue and a “winded feeling”
Hi all, I’ve recently started taking dapagliflozin again after experiencing some chest pain and a recommendation from the hospital to stop at the time. I contacted my cardiologist and he advised me to restart it but to try starting the ivabradine first and reintroduce the dapagliflozin 2 weeks later

Slight decline in ejection % from echo. They wish me to start on Dapagliflozin 10mg. Does anyone have experience with this med? Any good?
Dreaded results back in of a slight decline in ejection % from last scan in 2021. The note states its minor change. But they do wish to add SGLT2i Dapagliflozin 10mg. Has anyone tried this medicine? Have you been on it long and seen any improvements? Is it to replace any of the meds below? I currently

Is anyone else taking this drug for heart failure ? I have ‘severe’ heart failure and already take Ramipril and Carvedilol and have now had this diabetes drug added to the mixture. If it works it is said to be very effective in improving things. I would love to have your opinions. Also do you have
