Help with blood test results please?
My
calcium
was 8.4 (8.5 - 10.5), which is low. Does anyone know if any other supplements could cause
calcium
to be low? I supplement with D3 and Magnesium. What is the best way to improve levels? Many thanks.

Alternatives to Amlodipine
Hello I am 51 years old male, and for many years my blood pressure had been controlled by 100mg of Losartan (ACE Inhibitor) but my GP changed my meds this year adding Amlodipine (
calcium
channel blocker), firstly 5mg and now 10mg. My blood pressure now averages around 117/75.

Calcium
It is recommended that older women get 1,200 milligrams of
calcium
per day. Shouldn't body weight and size be taken into consideration?

Getting fat after pred,
I am taking B12, Vit D,
Calcium
with magnesium and iron, and a good multi vit. I feel 'out of control' now; afraid most of the time and this perpetuates the circle of feeling worthless (having put on weight) and being afraid of the GCA returning if I work at my normal level.

My cholesterol is 136 and my
calcium
score was 377. My blood pressure generally runs 119/68 but I do experience elevated blood pressure when visiting the white coats. Any recommendations or thoughts on how I had one reading during a routine cardio check-up and one only?

Removing calcium.
Any thoughts out there on taking vit K and vit D to reduce
calcium
in the arteries? The idea is to take the D at breakfast, and the K at dinner time and ,over 3 months, the artery
calcium
should have actually reduced by some 30 to 50 %. If true, then it should be widely promulgated.

Just looking for some advice on taking
calcium
. I’ve been through FAQ but can’t seem to find anything. I’m intending going for a DEXA scan soon to the same place I went 20 years ago to compare .

Elevated parathyroid hormone?
Is there any research, data, or personal experience with having parathyroid levels, but not blood
calcium
levels, become elevated while taking alendronate?

Profuse sweating
My
calcium
score was 5 % which consultant a saw through Bupa said was good. My sweating is getting worse. Only have to walk 5 or 10 minutes and my face andclothes are drenched. It's really affecting my day to day life and as I still work am having to bring a change of tops with me.

Iron at night following meds?
I have been reading and I know that
calcium
and certain meds like antacids will interfere with the absorption of iron but I don’t know about pregabalin. I am also taking low doses of clonazepam (1/4 mg now) and ropinerole (1/4 mg) but am continuing to taper off of those.
