Heart-healthy foods.
One theory is that the
calcium
in milk can drive total
calcium
intake to a level that inhibits hormonal vitamin D creation (cacitriol from calcidiol). Another is that it is the IGF-I (insulin-like growth factor 1), which tends to be elevated in PCa.

All was good for exactly 1 year until the aches and pains returned,a flare up.Hospital put me back on 15mg prednisolone and suggested I take ompresole, vit d and
calcium
and alendronic acid.I took the steroids and declined the rest.Within a few hours all signs of a flare had gone and I began tapering

Supplements
I was prepared to take the
Calcium
and Vit D supplement offered but even this has been a deception. I found out that
Calcium
carbonate is the cheapest form, is a rock and not very absorbable, plus the formula has aspartame and sucrose.

Constipation, Osteopaenia and Calcium
Hi, I have had osteopaenia for years, currently taking
Calcium
, magnesuim bisglycinate, D3, Vit K2 (natto), Boron. I also suffer from chronic constipation and wonder if the
calcium
I am taking as well as that in my diet (cheeses) is aggravating the problem.

Thyroidectomy
read about it this scares me rigid 😱 as I have read about all the possible complications including possible bleeding into the neck (hematoma) causing asphyxiation/death as well as problems by damage to certain nerves causing swallowing/chewing/speech issues and also damage to parathyroids causing low

I have been taking
calcium
and vitamin D all along but maybe I need to increase the amount I am taking, or switch to a particular brand?? Here in Texas we are expecting temperatures to be in the high eighties tomorrow which will be a cool front after weeks of 100 plus!

Alendronic Acid
My preference being to continue to take the
Calcium
/Vit D I am taking, doing weight exercises, walking, good diet, no smoking or alcohol. Has anyone had to make this decision, what did you decide, and do you have any advice? Thank you in advance for any responses. Julian

I’ve never had my
calcium
tested (at least not in the recent set of bloods) so I’m confused as to how this could be the diagnosis. Thank you again all.

How often should you repeat DEXA scan if you have Osteopenia?
In 2018 when I was aged 25 I had low
calcium
on blood tests so I was referred for a dexa scan. It found that I had slight low bone density for my age. Spine -1.3 Hip -1.6 I was diagnosed with osteopenia and prescribed vitamin d and
calcium
.

Blood pressure meds and RL
So far I've taken Losinipril, Perindropil, Propranolol, then moved to another type Doxazosin, a
calcium
channel blocker All of them have aggravated restless legs, to such an extent that I haven't slept for weeks, other than dropping off with exhaustion for a few minutes.

calcium

SVT after new medication for high blood pressure Also question re Hashimotos' link
Hi, I am having problems with SVT after two different blood pressure medications- one diruetic and another
calcium
channel blocker. I think my BP is resistant to meds as hypertension caused by Hashimotos - low pulse rate etc but wonder if anyone else has experienced this and what answers may be!
