Interactions between food and Levothyroxine.
Could anyone suggest a decent source to help me choose the correct foods depending on the time of day? I recently read that calcium shouldn’t be consumed until 4 hours after taking Levothyroxine. It looks like fibre shouldn’t be eaten too soon afterwards as well. That makes breakfasts more difficult.

Calcium/Vitamin d tablets causing AF
Back in April, I discovered that I had a dairy intolerance. I have had a gluten intolerance for about 12 years now. More recently I have also discovered that I have a soya intolerance. Following stopping dairy, my blood tests showed that my calcium and vitamin d were low, so my oncologist asked

When should you take medication?
I had a scan 3 years ago and got scores of -2.6. I decided not to take medication at that time and stuck with calcium and K2 supplements as well as exercise. I am vegan so eating dairy was not an option. I am sure that if my scores are worse on this scan I will get a lot of pressure to start on medication

HELP! I'm New to osteoporosis - should I take meds?
I was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis (at 63 - I think I'm too young) but I've always had osteopenia and am a small person. I've had doctors talk about medications but when I read the side effects and consider not being able to stop them (in the case of Prolia... which was highly recommended) I

Bonescan
I had a cupped knee few days ago, suddenly my left knee gave in, I couldn’t stand, last bonescan showed bones are getting weaker. I am 78, small built, are there any supplements I should be taking, calcium or fosamax? I take milk & yogurt for bones. Any suggestions? I have Hashimoto thyroid.

High Alkaline Phosphatase
I’m worried.. I’ve been on Urso for 3 months, my ALT and AST came back normal but my Alkaline Phosphatase increased from 220 to 240….really confusing. Any advice or information would be appreciated.

Calcium
It is recommended that older women get 1,200 milligrams of calcium per day. Shouldn't body weight and size be taken into consideration?

ALP back within range
Since my first blood test at the point of diagnosis, my alkaline phosphatase (ALP) has been above range (range = 20 - 150 u/l, readings were between 206 and 220). I assume this is due to having several bone mets. However, after just 3 months on ADT alone (Prostap), my ALP has dropped to well within

New Iron, Calcium and B12 results
My GP decided my earlier iron test results weren’t good enough and ordered new ones and I just received the results and the results are slightly different which is weird since its the same lab. My B12 is high because I supplement and I think my D3 is a little on the low side. Let me know what

Blood Tests & what to track
So my MO does frequent CMP, CBC, Diff, Testosterone, PSA as I'm doing chemo. Seeing my PCP soon and wondering about other lab tests to ask him to order. I was thinking Vit. D, B vits., lipids, A1C (done by MO when 1st saw her in April), Ferritin (as my hematocrit, hemoglobin & RBC count is slowly decreasing

Raised Parathyroid Levels
Hi Back at the end of June I had a lot of bloods taken, one of these included electrolytes. My calcium levels, both actual and adjusted came back as below range. 2.1 on a range of 2.2-.26. However my surgery didn't pursue it even though I queried it. I've had a lot of health issues since last autumn

Hashimoto's patient feeling exhausted: full blood results, any advice?
Hello all, I've posted before and was advised to get a full set of blood tests and post the results here for the Thyroid experts :) to look at and advise on what else I might try to combat my fatigue. Here goes (blood taken Monday this week): ! Serum TSH level - (NWM2358) - Abnormal but improved

Anyone Else Used Livi For GP Services
Hi First off I'm not getting paid to endorse Livi lol but I've used it a few times when my own surgery has been AWOL. The last two female GP's I consulted have been especially good. These have been non thyroid issues, one one did notice my calcium levels were too low, which my own surgery had

Diazepam/Valium
I was subscribed Valium in the late 1970s & it worked in that it cured my social anxiety & I could live a normal life. I got married, had children & bought a house. Everything was fine apart from the fact I was addicted for over 40 years but as long as I had the tablets, I was happy & content. I managed
