Fosamax While Taking Pred
My Rheumy told me I need to take Fosamax to prevent Osteoporosis while I'm taking Prednisone. Do others take this or just take Calcium, Vitamin D3, Vitamin K2 Supplements?

I believe this to be a very good resource for an important concern for all men with any type of PCa. [u]
The statistics are somewhat staggering, and apparently a great many Docs are giving this topic too brief a mention during consults.

Calcium Issues
Hi! Anytime I’ve tried taking calcium in the past, it gives me headaches and brain fog. Has anyone experienced this, and does anyone have any recommendations of which kind worked for you? Thanks!

Diagnosed with osteoporosis after 9 years on warfarin
I was originally diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018, but probably had it for 5 or more years before that. After an aortic valve replacement in 2013 with the On-X valve, I was prescribed warfarin. Studies link warfarin to osteoporosis, In Oct. 2021, I started on Orgovyx. I recently had a Vit. D serum

valium 2mg for flying with IBS-D
I’ve been prescribed 2mg Valium (diazepam) to help me not lose the plot on upcoming flights, as my IBSD related anxiety has got so much worse since covid lockdowns etc. I’ve always had anxiety about having a flare up whilst travelling but it’s a real problem now. anyhow, 2mg seems a crazy low dose

Shock kidney function result, any related experiences?
After reporting on here a few times that mum's kidney function had steadily improved for 5y, last week’s results reversed much of the gains made. After improving from eGFR 36 (post-nephrectomy) to 76 ml/m as creatinine fell from 131 to 72 umol/L, her creatinine is almost back to where it started (129

Low Serum inorganic phosphate levels
Hi all, I've just asked for a print out of my FBC, Dr Says all tests are fine, but I've come across my phosphate level and in the comments it says "below the recommended range" 0.79 (0.8 - 1.5) I know it's only just under, but does anyone know much about this? thank you.

Just had first Zoledronate infusion
Hello! I'm looking for some reassurance and advice as I feel rather bewildered by the advice from my rheumatologist. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 2016 following a DEXA scan, and my GP prescribed Risedronate tablets. I had a second DEXA scan in 2018 which showed no improvement, so I continued

One year and 3 day anniversary
It has been over a year since my last AF episode. I still get a few ectopics here or there, but overall the heart is working well. My first episode was when I was 48 years old and spent 3 days in hospital until heart sorted itself out. 9 months later another episode that lasted about 6 hours(took

Advice please - thyroid, vitamins, ferritin. Dr only wants to give statins?
My sister's surgery only seem interested in giving her statins, but I'm concerned about some of her other results instead. Please can someone else give their views? I wonder if I'm right or not. She's just 60 and has been on levo for about 30 years. Sorry, results are a bit long! Serum FT4 –

Thyroid Hormone Change Armour Thyroid to Tirosint/Cytomel
Hello, I recently requested to switch from Armour Thyroid 3 grains to a Tirosint Cytomel combination so that I have more flexibility with T4/T3 ratios. I was proposing Tirosint 137 mcg and Cytomel 10-15 mcg and redoing labs in 6-8 weeks. The CRNP switched my dose to Tirosint 112 mcg + Cytomel 10 mcg
