Disrupted sleep with increased T4
Hello dear Thyroid UK, I had thyroid cancer in August 2021 with part of my thyroid and a parathyroid removed. Since then, I've been trying to get an ideal dose of Levothyroxine T4. I did take a very low dose of T3 (Cytomel) briefly. I felt great alert-wise but experienced headaches, nausea and anxiety

My father and sister both died of heart disease in their 60s so do I have it too?
I am a 71 year old, conditioned athlete, hiking daily, lifting weights, and wrestling in jujitsu. For the last three years, I have been stage four metastatic prostate cancer with tumors moving up my spine. I am currently on two different testosterone suppressing agents, Orgovyx and Zytiga. These drugs

Hello everyone, I'm 75 years old and I had an NSTEMI at the end of April and was put on Ticagrelor. Help - Osteoporosis and cancer
Hi all, I have today found out I have osteoporosis in consequence of taking meds for stage four breast cancer. I am very well versed in cancer as I have lived with it since 2020 but a total novice when it comes to bone matters. My oncologist was dismissive and suggested I speak to my GP. Due to an

Early 50s male, healthy till hypothyroidism my first few months experience of treatment
I don't usually share info on the internet, but as a lot of material out there is aimed at women or Americans (I mean no offence to either!) I thought I'd stay my experience so far. Diagnosis, what does it all mean, and treatment/first medications. DIAGNOSIS Late 2022 I saw a nurse as I was taking longer

What a start with V+O
Well I finally started my treatment and the first week was quite a roller coaster. Day 1 ,I was only 10 minutes into the treatment and I had a severe reaction. Blood pressure dropped to 70/30 , hot flashes, chills, nausea but 5 nurses did their thing and reversed it pretty quickly. Completed the dose

should you take supplements at the same time as the Pred dose?
I recently read not to take calcium supplements at the same time as my morning pred dose, are there any other wisdoms about taking Vit D, potassium etc at the same time as pred ? or is it better to not take anything else at the same time? thanks

I just passed my 5 years diagnosis anniversary, and I’m happy to report that my treatment has been durable and my PSA remains < 0.01. At diagnosis, I had a PSA of 211, an alk phos above 900, multiple Mets, a Gleason of 9 (5+4), and a wonky, non-hereditary PTEN gene. My treatment from day 1 has been
