Possible Hyperparathyroidism.
Bloods just back. Parathyroid levels are 8.6 pmol/L (range: 1.6-6.9). Serum Calcium is 2.47 mmol/L which I interpret as normal. Vitamin D levels previously 29.1 nmol/L but increased to 65.7 after loading dose. Now 48. Total Thyroidectomy 10 years ago. Has anyone any suggestions?

Osteopenia diagnosed
Dexa scan shows osteopenia, don't yet know reading. GP will call tomorrow to discuss (my request). I'm thinking this should be straightforward, that GP will keep me on Allendronic Acid, Calcium, Vitamin D and Prednisolone: I am slow tapering between 9mg and 8mg and this seems to be going well. I'm feeling

Hi all, I had a scan back in March due to throbbing aching shoulder especially at night and they found a large calcium deposit. Now my other shoulder is doing the same and the pain is bad. I have been reading and it’s common to have high levels of calcium in the blood possibly caused by the parathyroid

Has anyone used Calcium Ionophores?
Hi all, my clinic recommended Calcium Ionophores. I looked it up. Sounds like it is to help eggs get fertilised. In my last cycle, I had 10 fertilised eggs. So I thought I wouldn't need such help. Also, HFEA website says Calcium Ionophores could cause abnormal chromosomes, which makes me feel reluctant

TSH 13.14
Hi, so after thyroid cancer and TT and lymph removal I had issues with my parathyroid not working so have been on high dose calcium, had a blood test Tuesday and parathyroid is now working so I’m weaning off the calcium but evidently my TSH level was 13.14 (T4 - 9.9) I’ve upped the levo to 150mg from

Drugs
I have been prescribed amiodarone 200 2x 2 weeks 1x 2weeks for post-ablation but did not handle any drugs well especially calcium blockers which it contains before hence the ablation. Have read many bad stories about and have been told that flecainide is maybe not as potent but the best tolerated out

Hello Beloved family. All well and having a quiet restful day I hope. Merely to complain because I can. I thought computers and connectivity were supposed to make our life better. Whatever better is. I find myself as years go by becoming more frustrated by electronics which are far from simple

Don't want to read studies on Google Scholar, but want to know everything about Dr. Laurie Mishley's practice?
56 min video with slides & graphs. A few take aways from her data; 1) the things we do affects the rate of our progression. 2) the more exercise we do, the slower we progress & exercising twice a week does not count. Must be minimum 3 times. 3) neural plasticity, that is, growing new neurons, requires

High T3 levels
Just a bit of advice please. I have just received my blood results from my Endocrinologist . T4 - 20 (9-23) T3 6.6 ( 3.5-6.5 ) TSH 0.05 He has suggested I stay on the same dose, I’m taking 12.5 T3 in split doses, but I’m having real problems with unexplained pain and am worried it’s because of my

I was wondering when I could take certain supplements such as digestive enzymes or anything really.
I understand that calcium and magnesium should not be taken within 4 hours of thyroid medication. However some of my supplements like selenium for example do contain magnesium stearate as side ingredient will this effect levo absorption dramatically or not? Would be a lot easier if I could have my supplements

Blood Results including Thyroid & PTH
Hello, These are my latest blood results (I'm shocked my GP actually tested FT3 and FT4 without me asking). I'm taking 100mg / 125mg of Levo alternate days. They want me to retest in 6 weeks time as they don't like the TSH that low. Also my PTH is low, I had a short synacthen test last year which

What is ADT doing to my Heart ♥
After 7 months of ADT, my heart ♥ is feeling weird. My resting heart rate 4 months ago was usually about 48, now it's up, at 60. Just sitting watching tv, it's 75. Climbing one flight of stairs I am panting, and heart is beating at 120. Family Dr says it's normal. I am starting to hate the word, normal
