Best check with your Dr whether you need these. I tested with high bone density so I don’t need Ca. My magnesium level was ok, a bit low, so I do take magnesium. Hope your cramps get better. Take care.

I have not heard of anything specific to calcium and HU. I would suggest a full nutritional evaluation when determining something like this. I am Vit D, Vit B/folate, and Magnesium deficient. I am under the care of a Integrative/Functional Medicine doc who monitors this amongst other things. Anything that is biologically active enough to help you can also hurt you. It is best to consult with a knowledgeable medical professional about this. Sadly, many docs only have minimal training in nutrition. Odd - but true.

Hope you find answers soon.

Hi Windy, you do need to check with your haematologist before you take any supplements etc, as you may not need to take them. Best wishes, Maz

Dear Windy51

My husband was on Hydrea for almost 4 years and took no adjuvant supplements. Unless you have other issues such as osteoporosis or any condition, supplements are not necessary.
