Blood Results including Thyroid & PTH
Hello, These are my latest blood results (I'm shocked my GP actually tested FT3 and FT4 without me asking). I'm taking 100mg / 125mg of Levo alternate days. They want me to retest in 6 weeks time as they don't like the TSH that low. Also my PTH is low, I had a short synacthen test last year which

What is ADT doing to my Heart ♥
After 7 months of ADT, my heart ♥ is feeling weird. My resting heart rate 4 months ago was usually about 48, now it's up, at 60. Just sitting watching tv, it's 75. Climbing one flight of stairs I am panting, and heart is beating at 120. Family Dr says it's normal. I am starting to hate the word, normal

So sick
Belindalore here. Just laying around today. No energy to do anything. Almost went back over to the hospital but didn't. Just a waste of time. Drs don't believe anything about the horrible side effects I'm having taking this poison Eliquis. I honestly don't know how much longer I can do this. I'm so

Hello I am new here. I have longstanding CFS/ME and Osteoporosis. I have been prescribed Prolia and wonder if I am out of options.
Hello all! I am female, nearly 70, in the last 20 years I have developed multiple allergies and intolerances, so my diet is quite limited. I take D3, B12 in a spray, and try to incorporate calcium in my food, eg tahini. Vitamin C with plenty of lemon juice. I have never smoked and can't drink alcohol

Advice on diet, especially dairy, soya, wheat, and low GI diet
Apologies for the long post. I was diagnosed at 16 with insulin resistant PCOS (now 36) and thought I was pretty well read on the condition but the older I get the more confusing the diet advice seems to be.... I switched to ‘healthier’ alternatives such as whole grains, wholemeal pasta, porridge, lower

Hypothyroid diet and recent results - cannot lose weight
Hi, I was wondering if you had any advice about an optimal diet for hypothyroid? The reason I'm asking is since march I have gained 1 stone. Now this will be impacted by holiday and lockdown but in the last 2 months I have desperately been trying and on average I'm consuming 1200-1500 Kcals and it makes

Pseudogout
I had routine blood labs a month ago and my parathyroid hormone was elevated. I was prescribed Calcitriol .25mg everyday. Recieved a call from nephrology to cut back on the Calcitriol to 3 days a week because the meds made my calcium level spike. Sometime during this situation I acquired a severe pain

How often do you have a Dexascan done?
I'm having a dexascan done this week and the last one I had was 4 years ago. I've been taking my calcium with Vitamin D and looking forward to seeing improvements.

Alternatives to Adcal
Hi I responded badly to Adcal and my GP said there would be enough calcium in my diet. I take vitD and K2 plus multi vitamin daily and I’m on 8mgs Pred. However, I’ve been on a bio-sulphate for over three years and want to stop. Any suggestions as to another kind of calcium I could take? Thanks!

Doc said there's nowhere left to go
This has come up on us really quickly. My husband entered the FOR46 trial last month and did one round of chemo. He's been trying to recover ever since. His PSA is back up to 300; AP is around 600. LDH is off the charts. Potassium, calcium and phosphorus have all been critically low at times and I can't

Recent hip replacement following trip on drive now prescribed Adcal D3. Read this can lead to strokes and heart attacks over time.
Will a calcium and D3 diet be better than taking Adcal D3. Also on 20 mg omeprazole which can lessen calcium absorption.

Good morning Beloved ms family. I hope "YOU" are all well and had a restful nights sleep. I think I should state this again as we have hit over 6000 Sisters and brothers. I am not now, nor have I been to the best of my knowledge a medical professional of any sort. None what so ever. Weakening

Supplementing with K2
Does anyone supplement with K2? Sometimes called Mk7. I am on Eliquis so no problem with the K. I've read that it's good to take k2 along with magnesium and vitamin D to help absorb them better. Also that k2 helps to keep calcium from building up in the arteries and keeps stiffness down of the blood
