Reintroducing dairy
Has anyone had any luck reintroducing dairy? I'm gluten, dairy and soy free after reading Dr.Wentz's books and chats on here. I try and eat whole foods (although do occasionally slip up) and am happy to report I am losing weight. I have started to eat meat because of the hair loss whereas before I

Taking Vit D at the same time as prednisolone
Apologies if this had been asked before. In your opinion is it OK to take Vit D alone, i.e. without calcium, at the same time as prednisolone? Thanks

Stressed and Confused
Hi All, This is my first time posting. Just went for a Coronary CT Angiogram and was told I have what looks like a 50 percent blockage in one of the arteries into my heart (not sure which one). On two occasion in the last year I've had some mild / chest arm pain for about 5-10 minutes, and thought it

Vitamin K
This is in response to some who replied to "Blood Thinners" (middlejoel). Vitamin K does not "cause" blood to clot. Sure, the "K" stands for "Koagulation" (German), but that is because vitamin K is essential for normal clotting. It is not safe to be vitamin K deficient. K is essential

Recommendations for heart MOT ?
This year I reached my 60th birthday and its now 12 years since my mild heart attack, where they found my main coronary artery was 95% blocked. I don't go to the hospital for a regular check-up but have been back to see a consultant with one or two issues over the years...the last time having an echocardiography

Looking for some advice on taking the right dose of Calcium and Vit D3.
I've just had a dexa scan. I had my last one in May 2020 (before diagnosis) which showed mild to moderate osteopenia. Since August 2020 I've been on prednisolone and a Calcium and Vit D supplement (as well as magnesium, biotin, Vit B complex) so I wanted to see whether or not my osteopenia had become

Internal vibration
Hi, I've been quiet on here as mostly plodding on and getting through my days as best as possible but am popping back with a question in the hope that someone can share some insight. For reference I'm 51, was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2010 (and have a lot of associated issues with that) additionally

Supplements and medication?
Since being diagnosed over the phone with suspected angina in Nov and only having spoken to a cardiac nurse to answer some form questions I've not had the chance to talk to anyone about what is going on or what I should/shouldn't be doing etc. I have learnt a few things by research and reading posts

osteoporosis
Hi - Sorry I was unable to include this image two days ago, but now finally managed. These are my bone scan results. Are they very serious? I am taking Vit D (4,000 iu) and big Calcium religiously (now, out of fear) and upped the walking to 50 mins per day. Difficult because of fatigue lately. Do you

Osteoporosis, Osteopenia, Parkinson's Disease And Melatonin : The Melatonin Series Continues
Since PwP are at increased risk for Osteoporosis and Osteopenia, I am writing this post to illustrate how once again, Melatonin may be quite useful for the purpose of staving off or preventing Osteoporosis or Osteopenia. The following Meta Analysis discusses the relationship of Osteoporosis

Radiation and MBC
So after much consideration I have had to give in and have radiation on my pelvis. One off treatment only. I was seen by the Consultant last Wednesday and had treatment Friday. No time to even think about it. I felt so sick and tired I was beginning to wonder was this worse than the pain I was experiencing

Your thoughts please?
I’ve recently been feeling very tired, aching, weakness, hair coming out again, some palpitations so my gp has done some bloods and I’m hoping someone might be able to help with the results. My recent thyroid results are really good (I keep a very close eye on them now) but a few things have come back
