Wake up please and you will understand.
Last year I was a mess, my ocd hit high levels but alot of that was because I came off valium cold turkey and it gave me a massive physical and psychological major major battle, that breakdown taught me alot my friends and I hope this will serve you well. I suffered and still do at times when stressed

Vitamin D Status & Cancer Mortality
New German study of British data below [1]. I was born on the SW coast of England at latitude 50 degrees. (Edinburgh, Scotland is at 56 degrees.) St. John's in Newfoundland, Canada, is at latitude 47.6 degrees, so one might expect the average Brit to have a much poorer vitamin D status than the

calcium supplement
I am wandering if it will be better for me to take a low dose calcium supplement, I take 20mg of pantoprazole a day and that might stop me for absorbing calcium, I am getting aches in my back goes off with rest, I also have locally advanced prostate cancer but that's under control at the moment but

how common is Hypoparathyroidism after TT
hi all. Back again 😬 my endo tells me this is really common and she sees it a lot with the surgeon I’m scheduled to see but that he’s a very good surgeon. Do I need to look into seeing someone else? My endo told me it happens in between 5 and 10 per cent of TTs. She never mentioned the possibility

Update
Update. Had a phone call from cardiac department today, it was the secretary again who said my consultant said my echo was fine. Phew good news. I asked about my calcium ct scan result and she didn’t know that. I said could she ask my consultant for the result and why did he think I needed an angiogram

Dexa scan results meaning
Hi Everyone I have finally managed to get a copy of the results of the above which I had done early March. I asked for the scan because I was automatically put on Alendronic acid at the same time as Pred although I had no likelyhood of osteoporosis. It wasn’t until I joined this site I realised the

Combined supplements
Hi, does anyone have experience of taking a supplement that contains Vit D3, Vit K2, calcium, copper, magnesium, manganese, selenium, zinc and boron? It seems a nice option just taking one tablet a day, but is it actually more advisable to take things separately?

Stormy weather but we get through.
With a certain reluctance i once again laid on a New Year's Eve party, my heart wasn't in it and wanting to be anywhere but in my home, will anyone turn up in the atrocious weather?. I cooked a ham, turkey and beef stroganoff, assortment of cheeses and various sweet concoctions. 30 were invited but

HNY!... and a warning for those who lead busy lives (aka all of us)
Firstly, I'm conscious I haven't posted in a while. 2023 has been a tumultuous and stressful year for me personally which involved a very close family member being diagnosed with cancer at the start of the year and much of my life for the next 6 months revolving around that. It's not why I'm here, but

Very happy to hit 2 year mark from last AFIB incident. I was 48 when I had my first episode which terrified me, and the second episode was 9 months later. Both resolved on their own. I started working on lifestyle changes from the first incident. I focused on dropping milk from my diet and keeping

Blood pressure meds and RL
I have been put onto blood pressure medication, as my BP is 'dangerously' high. So far I've taken Losinipril, Perindropil, Propranolol, then moved to another type Doxazosin, a calcium channel blocker All of them have aggravated restless legs, to such an extent that I haven't slept for weeks, other than

Getting adequate bone minerals without milk or yogurt
I'm 66 and have osteopenia. I took calcium and Vitamin D for many years because I've always hated milk and yogurt. I have some digestive problems now and can't take calcium. I try to eat green veggies, and I eat cheese, but I worry about my bones. I tried calcium hydroxyapatite but got constipated.

High diastolic blood p Niraparib
Hi, Blood pressure going up again on Niraparib, but it does just seem to be the bottom number, the diastolic. Has anybody got any success stories of sorting this bit with meds? Had bad reaction to calcium channel blocker. Currently taking Candesartan, though wanting to increase dose but not been on

Heart-healthy foods.
New study [1]. It's well-known that men with PCa have a higher risk for cardiovascular disease. Even before ADT. Mark Moyad coined the phrase "heart-healthy is prostate healthy" and I think he is correct. The American "food pyramid" is a disaster imo, with grains at the bottom & fats at the
