Endo in bowel tips
I was just wondering if anybody could help in regards to having endometriosis in their bowel, as I've found it quite hard to find out about it when researching. My surgeon found it on the outside of my bowel, and I am seeing a colon specialist to see if it has entered my bowel. I was just wondering if

Had results but still confused 🤷🏻♀️
After having biopsy samples taken during an incomplete colonoscopy back on 20th Jan and then having the CT pneumocolon on 8th Feb I have finally had the results read out to me by the med sec….not sure if it’s left me with more questions rather than answers 🤷🏻♀️ The biopsy results show inflammation

Need to Change Treatment
So I have progression after two years on Ibrance and Letrozole. I have an opportunity to participate in a clinical trial in my town in which I would be randomly assigned to Giredestrant, a promising oral SERD (monotherapy) or both Giredestrant with a new Pikc3a drug. My standard of care option would

Question re: Ablation of Liver Mets
Hello! I've had liver mets - in addition to bone - for a little over a year. When I was scheduled for a biopsy of the liver (a year ago), I asked my doc if they could ablate the tumor at that time and she "found/chose" a surgeon who would do this. So it seemed to be non-routine. I received a bill

Mastectomies
My partner (38) was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian cancer in June after many earlier chances of diagnosis. There was also a mass in one of her breasts. She had gene testing and is BRCA 1 positive. She has had 4 doses of chemo, debulking surgery (which went well) and two further doses of chemo. She

My docetaxel experience so far
For those who may be interested, I started docetaxel chemo on 20th October and have just had my 3rd infusion on 8th December. I did moderate fasting the day before for the first infusion but haven't bothered since. I wore iced gloves and socks and munched on ice cubes during the chemo sessions. I've

Bowel preparation before surgery
Hi everyone! 💛 Just been on pre op assessment and nurse said I don’t need to do bowel preparation at home. I will have hysterectomy with bowel resection and Endo excision. Has anyone had bowel preparation at hospital just before the operation? I am quite concerned what is going on 🤷♀️

recurrence after lobectomy
Hello, I am 53 and live in the UK and I stop smoking in my late 20’. I had a lobectomy of my right lower lobe in April 2022 to remove a minimally invasive adenocarcinoma staged pT1 N0, M0, PL0, R0 (found by complete accident on an abdomen CT scan.) I begged for adjuvant therapy after the operation

What’s the protocol for GP actioning full iron panel?
It’s become apparent that my daughter’s ferritin levels are deficient and she’s going to put in a request to her GP for a full iron panel. I routinely read here that one shouldn’t supplement with iron based on a low ferritin reading alone but I’d like to know what the supporting information for this
