Buprenorphine and Naloxone

Also known as Buprenorphine and Naloxone 2 mg/0.5 mg. It is a sublingual film that I put under my tongue. It was life changing. My first dose was at noon, and I slept all night with no kicking. It was nothing short of amazing. Life was worth living again.

Lately due to frequent cold I have to increase Buprenorphine and Naloxone to 1.5 mg sublingually (3 quarters of film (2 mg), then I have experienced horrendous heart palpitation and my heart rate goes down to 42 to 44 /minute.

I started taking Buprenorphine and Naloxone three weeks ago. Initially the RLS symptoms are pretty much relieved.

The oxycodone I have been taking since 2015 has lost effect therefore Doctor B prescribed Buprenorphine and Naloxone for me. The first day I experienced horrendous side effects, severe vertigo, nausea and vomting and anxiety.

I tried methadone ( didn’t like the drug hangover), oxycodone ( worked fairly well for about 8 months) and am now on Buprenorphine/Naloxone sublingual film 1/5 or 1/4 of a film in evening. For the most that has been working pretty well.

Perhaps those who have been declined Buprenorphine could try again and ask for Suboxone version of buprenorphine which contains naloxone - just a thought

So I started with 1/4 tablet of a 2mg buprenorphine/ 1/2mg naloxone. It worked quickly and completely within 20 mins and lasted about 6hrs. I then found the rls was kicking in and I was dealing with the gabapentin side effects. That was a rough few days.

Hi, I have been taking Suboxone (Buprenorphine and Naloxone) for almost 5 weeks now, but I am going to have colonoscopy on 14 of December. Does Suboxone interfere with anesthetics and narcotic given during the procedure?

hi can anyone advise anti depressants that can be taken alongside buprenorphine, that also help for sleep that can help with chronic depression possibly caused by daws that won’t cause rls ? thank you x
