Hi Its lovely to find this page and be able to share with people who understand. Coming to terms with this has been pretty difficult as you will all know. I really want to keep positive on this journey and believe I will be here to see my girls grow up - just need to figure out how to do that! My background

Where is the sunshine
Today is a grey miserable day with high winds. I am really missing the outdoors. I have an umbrella ☔️ but it wouldn’t stay up in this wind. I will have to dust off the Wii machine I think and do the excersises I have on that. I’ve got to get these bones moving otherwise I will ache all over. Crazy

Is it safe to have a couple of glasses of wine?
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed last year with Afib, my highest reading being 170 beats per minute. I am on Bisoprolol and Apixaban, which so far have kept me well controlled. I have never been a big drinker and haven't touched a drop since diagnosis. My question is, would it be safe to have a couple of

Looking for some perspective
Hello all - I was diagnosed with breast cancer metastasis (hormone+, HER2-) in Nov 2019 in my liver and bones. My only line of treatment has been Ibrance 100mg and Faslodex injections 1x a month. My last PET scan in May showed no evidence of disease. It was certainly something to celebrate, but as we

Government advice about sheilding
I'm in uk. I've just had a letter saying I no longer need to shield on the advice of gp or consultant. Now if it's the GP who completely missed my symptoms last year I don't trust the decision, so plan to ask consultant next week when I have s phone appointment. Given I was told to be very careful whilst

Endoscopy results
I’ve been on Ibrance and Letrozole for a year, but after my CT scan tomorrow, I may have to switch. Last year when I was diagnosed, the cancer was in my gastric body and angularis. Now it’s also in the antrum. That sounds like it’s spreading. I had a spot on my omentum in the last CT, so I’ll have to

Chronic pelvic floor pain and bleeding after bowel movements
Got examined again today, not hemorrhoids from what they could see.. About 2.5 years ago I had a hip arthroscopic surgery on my left hip. For about 1.5 years I was feeling awesome and pain free. But then this last year I have had chronic pelvic floor floor pain that gets worse after sex and sitting for

Follow up about tumor markers
Hello friends. I along with some others on this board have wondered about upward movement in our CA15 tumor markers during our monthly blood labs. Today I met with my oncologist following my semi annual CT and blood scans. I am 2 years into MBC. I was apprehensive because the last 3 month blood labs

On Xeloda- shortness of breath?
Just finishing the first cycle on Xeloda after “graduating” from years on Faslodex and Ibrance for mets to bone, now extending to liver. Have experienced a considerable uptick in shortness of breath starting on day 11 of 14 day dosage. Today (#13) I am truly feeling the stress of walking the slightest

Are Frequent Scans Safe.
I have stage four metastatic breast cancer. My Oncologist has me going for a CAT scan and a full body bone scan every three months. Aren't those scans loaded with radiation? If they are damaging is it a good idea to have so many scans. I am quite worried about this. I am on Ibrance and Letrozole

CBD Oil for Back Pain?
I have suffered with back problems for the past 20years which over the last 7/8 years have gradually got worse. It started of with pain in my lower back which was helped by regular trips to a Chiropractor. This allowed me to continue walking with my local walking group. But slowly over the past

Lercanidipine - anyone have any experience with it?
Have just been taken off amlodipine because of swelling of the ankles/lower leg, setting the area on the leg damaged by cellulitis off and swelling in two fingers. Doc has put me on Lercanidipine to lower my bp. Am also on Apixaban. It was on this forum that I read about these side effects with amlodipine
