I’ve been on Ibrance and Letrozole for a year, but after my CT scan tomorrow, I may have to switch. Last year when I was diagnosed, the cancer was in my gastric body and angularis. Now it’s also in the antrum. That sounds like it’s spreading. I had a spot on my omentum in the last CT, so I’ll have to see if they still see it and if it’s grown.
I’m going to ask about getting the gene test to see if I’m a candidate for Piqray. I know you have to have the gene. I read where NeoGenomics can take a biopsy sample and test it.

Hi, PLASEM. That was the biopsy results from the endoscopy. I’m waiting to see the actual report. I’m hoping they can do the other gene test with some of the leftover biopsy. He took 12 samples, so there should be some left.
Hi, Sandra. I am waiting for the report to look at it myself and talk with my oncologist. Do you happen to know what paucity means? When they saw the .5cm x 1.4 cm spot on my omentum, they said because of paucity, it was hard to distinguish. I’ll keep you posted. Thank you for the explanations of what things can mean.
While I’m at it, I’ve had high ferritin for at least a year. It was higher this time. All other levels having to do with iron are normal. Any thoughts for that as well? And my 27-29 tumor marker has risen for three months in a row, back up 86 points from its lowest.
I got the results in writing. I have no idea. All three endoscopies say different things, with the end saying metastatic breast cancer, so other than knowing it’s in three parts of my stomach, it’s all totally like a different language. I’ll just talk to the doc on Monday and have the CT scan tomorrow and keep you posted what’s decided.
I did get them in my oncology patient portal. I asked them to make sure they uploaded them. The gastro called me this morning to let me know it came back with the same diagnosis as last year, and that’s when I asked him about the two places, and he said it was three. There is different wording than last year, but in the end, it says metastatic breast cancer, lobular, which is what it was last year.
Hi, Sandra. Got CT results already. They say the omental haziness had a slight improvement. Yay! What a roller coaster we are all on. Might be a long doctor’s appointment with trying to sort everything out and where to go or stay, as the case may be.
Thank you. I’ll update by Tuesday. That’s when I’ll see what my tumor markers are doing. Hopefully falling again. They’ve been pretty good for me at predicting, since it’s one of the only things that shows improvement.
