Facebook group for parents of children with heart block
Hi! My daughter was diagnosed with heart block when she was a year old. I've found it really hard that so little information is available about heart block in children, and there is no specific group for affected families in the UK. I am sure that lots of families have useful knowledge and experience

Discomfort 8 weeks post ablation
So sorry to ask a question again. I live on my own and things get worrying. Had ablation 8 weeks ago and after 10 days felt great. Walking well etc etc. 3 days ago I started to feel chest discomfort and aching in my back. My Apple Watch says I am in sinus rhythm and 65-75bpm but the trace is all over

Went home found out via ECGs have left

block
. This was not mentioned on my Discharge summary. My Cardiologist who is in a different hospital from the Surgeon thinks he knows about it. I think it is something new. Should I be having a pacemaker put in.

Thanks for all the kind words last week .I rang the arrhythmia nurses Monday morning and after speaking with my consultant they called me back and had me in for an echo Tuesday morning . ..and saw the consultant straight after the scan who told me that all was fine on the scan as he had originally suspected

metoprolol 25 mg and low heat rate
hi, in a situation where there is a low heart rate between 55 to 60 bpm when in afib, does it make sense to take metaprolol drug, designed to reduce the ventricular heart rate, amongst other things? my allopathic md prescribed this and i cannot help but feel a bit uncomfortable. i don't wish the heart

ECG Wristwatch Option
I've been reading various posts about the utility of the Apple Watch heart monitor. I wanted to offer an option for those folk who don't live in the Apple ecosystem. I live in the Samsung ecosystem and have been wearing a Galaxy 4 & now 5 watch since I was Dx and successfully treated for Afib / SVT.

Disappointment after Ablation Number 4
I had my 4th ablation just two weeks ago and since then, have enjoyed two weeks of blissful NSR and a wonderfully steady heart rate of between 50 and 60 bpm. I was feeling a bit lightheaded, breathless and dizzy so my EP advised me to reduce my Bisoprolol dosage from 5mg twice a day to 3.75mg in the

Update and Plan
Well, I feel pretty good about my EP appt. today. He was really succinct about a plan, goals, and end game. So he has proposed in ascending order, four medications to try. He is starting with the mildest and going to the strongest. He is recommending to start with Bisoprolol, then Verapamil, then Sotolol

Ablations history
Hello I wanted to share my history I was initially diagnosed with svt in 2021 Then in October 2022 I went for RF ablation. (Antwerp Belgium) During the procedure they found the area where the ablation should be done, they did it and at the end of the procedure they did stimulation for any arrhythmia

Nerve damage
Since my carpal tunnel, cubitunnel and median nerve surgery 2 years ago, I have experienced horrible, constant seeking nerve pain in my left arm. My hand is deformed and I have no use of my arm and hand. After 2 hand surgeons, 2 PT's and a neurologist, all of whom said there was nothing they could do

iron lab results 10 weeks post iron infusion
I have had four iron infusions in the last 2 years. 10 weeks ago I received Injectafer 1000 mg with so-so results. I had seen a hematologist at my neurologist/Sleep specialist’s urging out of his concern for my out of whack lab numbers. The hematologist was not concerned. I gave my sleep, specialist

Ablation
Good morning I was wondering if I could gather some thoughts on people that have had successful ablations and where they had it if in the UK. I have recently been put on Flecainide as I was getting a lot of SVT type attacks whilst wearing a 2 week monitor. Even though my attacks are a less they still

Cardiologist or electrophysiologist?
Hi everyone,This is only my second post and I found all your responses very helpful. I hadn't heard of electrophysiologists until I joined the group, but I have done some research and there are electrophysiologists in a hospital near me. I have a constant fast heartbeat and am diagnosed with bigeminy

Should one asymptomatic and isolated AF episode be medicated?
Hi Forum. At my pre op assessment (for hip surgery) last Monday the ECG showed AF. No symptoms at all, I walk my dogs +/- 4 miles daily. My BP machine shows normal resting heart rate and BP. So on strength of one ECG my GP has prescribed anticoagulant tabs which I know is for the AF risk of clotting.
