I had a bicuspid aortic heart valve replaced mid May. Had temporary pacemaker for a few days. Went home found out via ECGs have left branch bundle block. This was not mentioned on my Discharge summary. My Cardiologist who is in a different hospital from the Surgeon thinks he knows about it. I think it is something new. Should I be having a pacemaker put in. Also seen x-ray looks as if new heart valve is on the right lower down and I have three sets of titanium wires. Any help advice appreciated. Many Thanks.

Re your LBBB, many people have no symptoms from it, and my cardiologist doesn't give a second thought about mine. (It is just noted in reports.) However, if you are having fainting episodes, or a low EF, you may need a pacemaker.

Thank You. Silvertail, what is a low EF?

Ejection fraction. It is the amount of blood that your heart pumps each time it beats. It's measured as a percentage of the total amount of blood in your heart that is pumped out with each heartbeat. A normal ejection fraction is 50 percent or higher.
