Asthma, Xolair and Nucala

Hi everyone,

I’ve had severe brittle allergic asthma since I was tiny, officially diagnosed at 18months old.

I take or have tried every asthma medication available and have been on a maintenance dose of prednisilone for the last 15 years. I also started Xolair when it was first released.

The Xolair has reduced my admissions drastically and allowed my prednisilone to drop to 5mg from 15mg. Now it seems to have plateaued though.

My specialist consultant has suggested Nucala and medically I qualify for it, he’s taking my case to panel this month. I was wondering if anyone here has started it. I know it’s a very new drug.

Thanks for your time xx
