Greetings from my right breast
Hi all, I'm 55 and my father's sister died of breast cancer in her 40s or 50s and my mother's mother was successfully treated for it in her 60s (full mastectomy both sides with lymph nodes). In a couple of weeks I am getting my first ever needle biopsy on a mass I have had since say 10 or 11, as well

In February I had a lobectory and afterwards, after first making a good recovery suddenly I was unable to keep food down I was admitted to hospital where it was put down to my leg ulcer 3 weeks later released only to be back in 3 days later worse than ever this time they correctly linked it to the lobectory

So I posted awhile ago about getting my scans done. I was in Hawaii the following week working so did not want to get the results when I was by myself in case they weren't what I was hoping for. I got back and tried to email my onc twice and he is so good about responding but nothing. I finally called

Confused...
CT and bone scans were done last Monday that showed "no evidence of progression" but had lymph nodes removed on Thursday that turned out to be the same cancer. Has anyone had this as well? Original diagnosis was breast cancer with three small bone mets. Sorry to ask - very new to this all.

One year diagnosed
I am newly diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast ca. I’m on Ibrance and faslodex and it’s been so difficult with working full time and feeling exhausted especially on my week off my cycle. I’ve had 2 infections over my first year but I’m still positive about my disease. I meditate, go to Reiki, accupuncture

Scan Results - part 2
Thank you everyone for all the good wishes and congratulations on my grandbaby. I saw the doctor today and actually he was pretty happy with the results of the scans and said they were still smaller than the scans I had in August. Although one was just a little bit bigger than the scan I had in December

Chemo vacation
Hello out there. I am so excited to say that I am on a chemotherapy vacation! The last chemo was the Gemzar and Navalbien. After 9 rounds the damn cancer got smart and no longer kept its place. It began to grow. More mets and larger existing ones. I was then put back on my original chemotherapy

Can I trust my 1st ever Endo's advice?
I had my first ever Endo appt today that left me quite overaught and teary all afternoon. My Gp had assured me that the Endo she had referred me to had an interest in Thyroid, so assumed she would be NDT friendly. No, she wasn't, and she lectured me on how bad NDT was as you can never trust NDT to be

Can anyone explain my diagnosis of Stage 1a grade 3 Comedo Necron hormone receptor negative (its the negative I don't get) Breast Cancer?
Breast Cancer. My hormone receptor negative and progesterone negative. After lumpectomy and radiation no other treatments will help because of the negative part. Why is that?
