Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with CLL in August 2018 and so far have remained on watch and wait. In September 2019, I had successful surgery for colon cancer, had a stoma for 6 months and then a reversal and have been "all clear" since then. Also, as a bonus, the chemo I had for the colon cancer

22, positive FIT test.
Hey all, wanted to get some opinions on my situation. For years now, since about 16, I have been having occasional blood in stool, abdominal pain, and gas and bloating. I've been to different doctors three times for this, all of which told me hemorrhoids without really checking anything out. Recently

For 2 years on and off at least 4 times I suffered with bouts of constipation followed by really bad stomach pains and diarrhoea. Didn't concern me at the time until I noticed blood was sick and blood mucus in stool. Had my colonoscopy 5 days ago I have internal piles which when I went for rectal examination

Does this look concerning?
Hi, 30 yo M here. Recently I've been having stomach aches that feel like sharp pains in my lower belly, most commonly on one side, along with unusual fatigue and sleepiness. I've also noticed small black dots in my stool, but I'm not sure if they're the kind that people talk about when they refer to

Blood in stool
I have experiencing "blood in stool" for quite awhile now. 2 to 3 years now.I have been ignoring it for so long because I don't have access to better health care here in my Country. Sometimes it goes off, then comes back and continues for days. I read about Colon Cancer and I see it's one of its symptoms

Paying for Horizant
Arbor Pharmaceuticals, the maker of Horizant, has a patient assistance program. If you're in the US you could be paying $55 a month (plus shipping) by applying to them directly. You can be on Medicare and still get this benefit. None of the cost is reimbursable by Medicare or any other insurance program

Lots of Mucus in stool
Hi All, For the past month I have had more than usual mucus in my stool. My stool is firm and comes in "balls" not smooth. I try to drink as much water as possible. I also have a dull pain/unfcomfortable feeling sometimes, just below the right rib cage. Blood work turned out great, no issues. No blood

Occasional rectal bleeding (graphic picture)
Hi all, I am new here but as many of those who post, I am also loosing my mind. So I've had this issue for over a decade (32yrs old now) where I notice red blood or small clots in the stool. Recently, it has been more prominent and past Monday, it felt like something popped - the end result, toilet

Thought of the day - B12 paradox
Like many aspects of life that we're all trying to grapple with, good health comes from a very fine balance. There is no 'one way' to do things, but a sweet spot in the middle. And I believe it's the same with diet, in particular B12. B12 is a regulator of homocysteine. Low B12 is a driver for high

about 5 weeks ago I started getting discomfort in my left abdomen and my toilet habits changed I was going 3 or 4 times a day and my poop was extremely runny, my Doctor sent me for a blood test and a stool sample which both came back clear, my poop now looks quite normal but some days I’m going twice

Dysport and swollen lymph nodes
Has anyone experienced swollen lymph nodes after getting dysport? I have one that has popped up in my groin the day after I had cosmetic dysport injected and I’m wondering if it is related

can’t stop worrying 😭 only thing that comes to mind is some type of cancer and I hate that!
I’ve been experiencing mucus and blood in stool and some abdominal pain sometimes. I was fine until I used restroom and saw my situation and now I haven’t been eating much last 2 days because I’m so worried ever since that BM yesterday now I feel like I need to go often and sometimes I go and it’s just

Is gluten free food doing us more harm than good?
About twp years ago i went privately for a food intolerance test re my IBS. It was suggested I go gluten & dairy free which I did & continued for over a year. Doing this didn't make much difference to my IBS symptoms so I gave up the gluten free but carried on with being dairy free. But I still bought

DOES ANYONE TAKE SONATA, LUNESTA, or RESTORIL for their RLS and if so, does it work for you?
Dr. Buchfuchrer's website list a host of drugs that have been prescribed over the years for RLS and their effects. Wondering if anyone takes either of these three for insomnia and RLS?

Prebiotics, probiotics and now postbiotics. What they are and how can they improve our gut health?
Postbiotics are essentially the by-products of our gut microbiota. In other words, your body produces postbiotics after digesting prebiotic and probiotic foods.
