ARE WE EVER GOING TO BE DRUG FREE
After reading the posts this morning, the one on "cold hands and feet" where someone raised an issue I had indeed thought of before but without any knowledge of. After a heart procedure - mine a CABG - will I ever become drug free?

Cancelled CABG (again and again and .......)
I deleted my last post as I thought, on reflection, it was too much of a rant and too negative content, when others have their own problems to deal with. But here I am again. I've had 5 separate dates for surgery since begining of February, twice I've actually been in hospital, prepped and all ready

Heart Conditions and Mental Health
Just a comment I have read a few posts in the last few days in which the posters clearly have Mental Health Issues, and obviously need help in overcoming these issues. I have been to 2 different Cardiac Rehabs, both NHS ( reason CABG & Stents 3 years later) + Heart Disease. When I arrived at both of

Electrophysiology For Ectopic Beat Correction
Being referred from one Cardiologist to another Cardiologistfor an Electrophysiology Study this is to determine if it is possible for an Ablation to correct my Ectopic Heart Beats. I have 1000s in a 24 hour period and Cardiologist suspects they are causing my Heart not to fill completely prior to pumping

Stem Cell Treatment
A little while ago I mentioned that liver transplants could one day become a thing of the past. Day by day the use stem cell treatment and research brings us closer to finding a cure for liver disease. HIV positive man in London becomes second person ever to be cleared of virus after stem cell transplant

Hello, I'm 29 and was diagnosed with nodular melanoma on my ankle in early December. Since then, I've had a wide excision and two lymphnode biopsies. My excision came back with clear margins, however the groin sentinel lymphnode came back with a small amount of melanoma. My doctor has suggested I do

Cancelled Surgery
I have been waiting for a triple CABG since November. I have been given 4 dates for surgery and each has been cancelled, due to no ITU beds, or no staff. I have a date for tomorrow but have been told to stay at home until I get the green light from the hospital. This constant juggling with pre-op medication

Donating bone marrow to cure sickle cell anaemia
A bone marrow transplant is the only complete cure for treating sickle cell anaemia. This is a kind of treatment in which the patientās bone marrow is changed to new healthy bone marrow. This is done either by collecting the patientās own bone marrow or that of a donor. In the case of sickle cell disease

Seeking people with experience of Stem Cell Transplant for Richter's - I have a decision to make!
Hi All Have been reading lots of posts since my diagnosis of CLL 9 months ago - what a great community, which I have found really helpful. I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins DLBCL which is a Richter's transformation from previously undiagnosed CLL. I am a healthy 50 year old female, with no symptoms

Ongoing throat discomfort worse with exercise
Hi everyone I had CABG last July and one of my presenting symptoms was throat discomfort which became worse when I exercised. The problem which is really bugging me is that the discomfort is continuing. My GP put me on very strong antacids which didnāt help. I am probably in total denial but I wondered
