Blood tests

Hope everyone is enjoying the new year and your valuable thoughts on my latest blood tests would be appreciated, I have Graves’ disease and been on medication for 20 months now on block and replace with carbimazole reduced from 40mg to 20mg 3 months ago.

However, my last routine checkup my blood tests came back and one of them was 64.4 just about the top of the scale (65) Doctor thought it was a mistake so repeated the bloods, same result. Called me up and asked me how I was feeling? Had I lost any weight unexpectedly? No.

Asking for my adult son who had his blood tests results back yesterday which say normal. He has autoimmune thyroid disease and was on 175 mcg a day but because he felt very unwell he dropped to 150 mcg and began to feel much better. So for the last 6 months he’s been on the lower dose of 150.

So I drink a lot of water before blood tests, which makes it easer for them to draw blood but might be throwing all my results off a little.

I wonder if someone would comment about my recent blood tests please? My GP ordered the tests as I'm having signs of pancreas problems due to three IPMN pre-cancerous cysts which are in my pancreas.

I go there and they told me go to GP next week they don't do blood tests and I need neurology referral the unit was full I apologied I don't want to be there on a Friday night or anytime really.

Hello, How many of you have taken the journey for underlying causes via blood tests and hormones and nutrition? We refuse to live with medicating the seizures as the only solution and are looking for people who have taken this journey and what they have discovered.

Blood tests taken last week before I was put on Enzalutamide - PSA had dropped to 0.88... I thought I'd misheard when she told me. I'm also experimenting with supplements. A friend with a difficult to treat cancer eventually refused chemo/radio/surgery.

I was astounded to find that the annual blood tests I’ve had for 10 years don’t test for iron or vit D. My vit D levels were found to be deficient- my iron was borderline. I went back to the GP and was prescribed high dose vit D. I opted to take iron supplements.

Hasn’t offered any blood tests recent TSH is 1.5 and taking 75mcg Levo. diagnosed hypothyroidism hashimoto 2016 by a scan. Hyper vascular multi nodular. Off memory the nodules were smaller in 2016.

Doctors did blood tests, said all was normal and to keep an eye on him (unfortunately i don't have B12 level from this time). My Nan was a great age and albeit sad my dad was relieved when she passed but his symptoms didn't lift.

Is anyone on this forum in the uk given access to blood test results by their gp on the online platforms i.e. mygp, patient access or nhs apps

I don't have limitless funds to do endless private blood tests and consultations. The cost of living crisis makes it too expensive. What do we do if you can't get T3 but are currently taking it? I really wish we could take the NHS to court for malpractice around all this.

The new blood tests bear out my symptoms. New readings show T3 down at 3.1; T4 down at 8.1; TSH up at 0.05. He also asked for other tests: FSH 9.4, LH 2.8; Prolactin 190; Testosterone 21.3; Cortisol 350. Do these results reveal a dodgy Pituatory Gland?

My GP has recently requested repeat blood tests, as a couple of abnormalities had shown up in previous routine blood tests. Both my serum ferritin level and mean cell volume results are outside the normal range.

Having my follow-up appointment with private endocrinologist next week so had blood tests at the GP surgery but also decided to have private blood tests at a clinic near me. I've been using this same private clinic and having occasional NHS tests over the last year.

She ran 2 sets of blood tests a week apart and my inflammation markers were through the roof. She diagnosed PMR and started me on 15mg of Prednisone. This really did not much and I was back to her in a few days.

He called for several blood tests (£820 worth) but I have yet to hear if they were clear. The secretary told me that if there was an issue they would let me know. I tried the pathology department but they just take the blood and the lab only sends the results to the Cardiologist.

Just had blood tests (for another issue) and dr called to say that my liver enzyme markers were raised (ALT 255, AST 99, ALP 239, GT 334.. all substantially above the top end of normal) and they want to do an ultrasound to check my liver.
