Trying to make sense of 'diagnosis'
My
blood
tests
also showed elevated AST (39) so my new GP advised an abdominal ultrasound. Results: Diffusely echogenic hepatic parenchyma likely representing chronic liver disease. I had blood work redone in October & after being more careful about my diet, AST was down to 36.

Drug induced liver injury
I’ve had two
blood
tests
which have come back normal range, but I’m really not feeling very well, I’m so worried I have caused liver damage.

Very Obvious Question
I had a further appointment with Rheumatolgist last week, and the only thing they changed was
blood
tests
every 2 months instead of every month, it seems Methotrexate wil be part of my diet for a long time yet.

Early intervention pycosis
I will get regular health check ups every three months if I'm starting on meds with an ecg and
blood
tests
. Am particularly worried that meds are not bad for my heart as I had heart attack 11 months ago.

Inflammation and RLS
Anything Higher than 1.58 can be indicative of RLS ***************** Well this is pretty easy test and I have about 20 years of
blood
tests
in an excel spreadsheet...... Now I have to find the spreadsheet.

Iron Levels
Doctor also did iron
blood
tests
. These are my results as per lab printout: IRON: 12umol/L, Ferritin: 210 ug/L, Transferrin: 1.75 g/L, Iron saturation 29%. This is my question: It appears that my Ferritin levels are fine but my Transferrin level is low.

Help with test results - haemochromatosis with iron deficiency?
A few years ago I regularly had
blood
tests
which showed high iron levels so my doc suspected Haemochromatosis. I had the genetic testing which showed I had the gene mutation. I used to get blood drawn to treat it and bring down my iron levels.

Optimal vitamin levels?
I am also wondering about doing my own
blood
tests
in order to get more than just TSH and plan to do one 6 weeks after increasing the levo dose.

NHS 'guidelines' preventing my GP prescribing for hypothyroidism - help please!
Anyway all more or less ok until 2015/2016/2017/2020 when
blood
tests
(different country to UK) showed I did not need thyroid medication...

Good news re white blood cell count
Well the GP sent me for
blood
tests
this morning and the good news is the level has dropped, so he is happy that is going in the right direction.

12 Day Trial
Meaning there are no
blood
tests
. I have used it effectively for 58 years to mitigate my transcobalamin issues. The power went out and I had no heat and got very cold. (10% of my state was without power. It happens and we are used to it.)

Impending GP appointment advice
Since then I have been having the usual 6-8 week
blood
tests
and in February finally reached a dosage of 100mcg daily. My current weight suggests a therapeutic dose should be closer to 200.

gca/pmr
Have had
blood
tests
& result from rheumatology is that my CRP is 1 so absolutely no signs of gca or PMR any different. I am now on 7 mg Prednisolone from 50 last august. They will not up my dose. Have had both knees & hips xrayed but no results back yet.

Blood test results
Just had my yearly check up with full
blood
tests
. I can access the results but will also be seeing my GP face to face (!) next week as this is part of the check up. Can you tell me what these two results mean, please?

IMPROVEMENT!
He gave me various
tests
and
blood
tests
and came to the conclusion that it's not my bronchiectasis that's the problem, it's my asthma. I'm now taking a Seretide 250 inhaler and feeling a whole lot better. Although still not brilliant, I can see the improvement on my daily peak flow readings.

Is it needed and safe for my mom to supplement with folate or B12?
She had
blood
tests
this month that show her RBC and TIBC low and her MCV and MCH high. Does this indicate she has a deficiency in either folate or B12? She's always supplementing some amount of B12 and her B12 level is normal.
